This is a hidden gem that I’ve wanted to try for awhile. So I decided to shoot my shot and very glad that I did. It is an historic place as the owner explained to me and they do not take any shortcuts when it comes to the food. My fried chicken was freshly made. The collard greens were some of the best I’ve had and the mac & cheese was on point. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. The prices are also very good for the quality that you will receive. I highly recommend dining here!

I love history and culture...Along with excellent tasting food and phenomenal customer service. Green Front Cafe delivers all of the above! I was scheduled to have lunch with a friend today, and when searching the mid-point for us to meet, Stockbridge was it. I Googled "Best Restaurants in Stockbridge" and this spot popped up. I checked the menu and website, and was sold! From the time I walked in and received a friendly, warm welcome, to the end when my to-go orders were packed up (yes, my dine-in experience was so great, I ordered meals to take back to my business appointment in Atlanta)...AMAZING! For dine-in, I had oxtails, rice & peas, and cabbage. My friend had the fried fish with fried okra and rice & peas. The food was absolutely delicious and the customer service was as well. The owner shared the history of the restaurant and spoke fondly of the nearby church and the community...It made this more than a lunch experience -- It was rich in history and culture...Very meaningful. I left and called to tell several others about this great gem I found -- One person being my sister, who is flying in next weekend. She wants to go...So, I'll be back next weekend to experience this goodness all over again! I love Green Front Cafe?!

We came in from a local referral, who has been coming here for generations. This historic soul food resturant in Stockbridge still has its southern charm. The staff was warm and welcoming and the food was good! I went there with my family and we tried it all- unfortunately- no Mac n Cheese on my Saturday afternoon visit (3pm)? But my vegetarian wife got the Veggie Burger. Me and the kids got various chicken dishes. I got Jerk Chicken with rice n peas and yams. The boys got fried chicken and 10 piece Hot Honey Lemon Pepper wings. We will be back- hopefully before the Mac n Cheese sells out! ?

Went here today because I've heard the history. It is a nice little restaurant off the beaten path. Ordered the meatloaf with collard greens and coleslaw. Peach cobbler for desert. Meatloaf was nice and hot with a tomato type sauce on top. The sauce was so good that it could be served by itself. Meatloaf was nice and moist underneath. Collard greens were everything you'd want them to be. Tasty but not over the top. Probably the best I've had. Coleslaw was really nice. Not too sweet or vinegary. Peach cobbler was exactly what I want. Good crusty pieces with peaches. The food was good without being pretentious. Will be back again.

The food and service were excellent!! We live in TX, Returned to Henry Co. To hold a Memorial Service for my Mother. Talked to other places about private rooms on A Sunday afternoon but none Would reserve a spacs. Found Green Front Cafe onlne,had a family member try the food. They were pleased & I called Dianne, so willing ccomadate us. Food was prepared as our guests arriived. CATFISH, FRIED CHICKEN AND JERK CHICKEN were entree. Most tried at least 2 and all were very pleased. I am sure if we lived close by thIS would become OUR HANGOUT. ONLY thing to know is this is a historical building so in this summer heat dress cooly. Nice place small and quaint good customer service but the food is horrible. It's generic food very unhealthy too much salt too much butter too much sugar. I try to support local businesses, but apparently everyone doesn't cook consciously for the price you pay. It's not worth it. hopefully this review will motivate them to, reevaluate their cooking practices not everyone likes salty food. It's very unhealthy allowed the consumer to put additional condiments on their food .. customer want good food that's affordable not overpriced cheap food. Just my opinion , Again my review doesn't take away from the customer service and the atmosphere is just a food ,nothing personal my review is based on my experience and I feel as though I am a titled to review because I have paid for this experience
