This spot is a hidden gem In Stockbridge. The customer service was outstanding; staff super friendly. The food was excellent. The Philly was cooked fresh and with fresh ingredients! Oxtails (chefs kiss) tender and seasoned just right. Wait times were appropriate for the food we ordered. Kudos to Jordan who came out to check on us several times! Very attentive! Will definitely be back!

Great food, and a comfortable environment that feels like home! In addition, the service was also friendly from the moment my mom and I stepped in. I gave the delicious food 4 stars, only because I wanted a piece of fried breast meat chicken and they didn't have it, so I had to order fried chicken wings, which was still delicious. My mom and I ordered the fried chicken wings, yams, collard greens, mac & cheese and fried okra, everything was freshly cooked. The Green front cafe is a cute, little black owned restaurant, tucked away in a little neighborhood, with big charm and beautiful vintage, high ceilings on the inside. It was nice to learn about the history of the place, and to know that it was the first black owned restaurant in Stockbridge, during the 1940s, owned by an innovative woman by the name of Ms. Carrie Mae. After my experience, I will be returning. Thank you for such great service!

Loved this cafe! (Lots of orders, so the wait was LONG!) Good was prepared fresh and very flavorful! ( We carried out.: jerk chicken, meat loaf and baked chicken. Sides lima bean, mac, rice, yams (all delish) The café has a nice relaxed vibe. The only concern was it was 90 degrees outside and about 80 degrees inside. Fans running. Not sure if AC worked. Everyone was friendly and very a very clean space! I highly recommend!!

Wonderful atmosphere where ALL are welcome! I had the soul burger/fries which was delicious…best fries!! The staff welcomes you with kindness. We were there on a Saturday, and a band was playing in the outside dining area. Highly recommend visiting!!

NEVER AGAIN. Went to see a free concert, placed a food order at 2:00 waited and eventually went inside to be told food is coming. My son received his fish meal maybe 3:00. Now it's 3:20 me and my other son waiting on soul burgers meal. When I inquire about the situation the manager stated the cook is just now putting on grill, the kitchen is small, and if we go to cheddar the burgers are pre made. I'm like that has nothing to do with having customers wait. She funded the difference but the best way to gain customers satisfaction is how can we make this right instead of talking about a small kitchen she knew the kitchen was small when they brought the place.

This is a hidden gem that I’ve wanted to try for awhile. So I decided to shoot my shot and very glad that I did. It is an historic place as the owner explained to me and they do not take any shortcuts when it comes to the food. My fried chicken was freshly made. The collard greens were some of the best I’ve had and the mac & cheese was on point. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. The prices are also very good for the quality that you will receive. I highly recommend dining here!

I love history and culture...Along with excellent tasting food and phenomenal customer service. Green Front Cafe delivers all of the above! I was scheduled to have lunch with a friend today, and when searching the mid-point for us to meet, Stockbridge was it. I Googled "Best Restaurants in Stockbridge" and this spot popped up. I checked the menu and website, and was sold! From the time I walked in and received a friendly, warm welcome, to the end when my to-go orders were packed up (yes, my dine-in experience was so great, I ordered meals to take back to my business appointment in Atlanta)...AMAZING! For dine-in, I had oxtails, rice & peas, and cabbage. My friend had the fried fish with fried okra and rice & peas. The food was absolutely delicious and the customer service was as well. The owner shared the history of the restaurant and spoke fondly of the nearby church and the community...It made this more than a lunch experience -- It was rich in history and culture...Very meaningful. I left and called to tell several others about this great gem I found -- One person being my sister, who is flying in next weekend. She wants to go...So, I'll be back next weekend to experience this goodness all over again! I love Green Front Cafe?!

We came in from a local referral, who has been coming here for generations. This historic soul food resturant in Stockbridge still has its southern charm. The staff was warm and welcoming and the food was good! I went there with my family and we tried it all- unfortunately- no Mac n Cheese on my Saturday afternoon visit (3pm)? But my vegetarian wife got the Veggie Burger. Me and the kids got various chicken dishes. I got Jerk Chicken with rice n peas and yams. The boys got fried chicken and 10 piece Hot Honey Lemon Pepper wings. We will be back- hopefully before the Mac n Cheese sells out! ?
