Discovered this hidden jewel while stopping to get gas on the way to Middle Ga. I was 100% pleased. I was greeted with great customer service by the nice man behind the calendar. The food was absolutely amazing and the cost was very fair and reasonable. I’ll definitely stop by every time I pass through this area.

I have eaten ribs from a lot of places, but this place is number one on my list! The atmosphere is laid-back, very friendly, and cordial. When the owners wife is there, the place has a more excited atmosphere. Mrs. Jay gives away free stuff and looks for ways to give you discounts!
Parking: Parking is okay for a few cars, two or three, but any more vehicles that come will have to make their own parking spot near the restaurant.

My husband and I were passing through yesterday and we decided to stop here for dinner. And I must say we're both very happy we did. Everything was absolutely delicious. And the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We don't live in the area but we're definitely looking forward to a lil road trip for some more of this delicious BBQ. Some of the best ribs you can find in GA. JJ has the perfect blend of fall-off-the-bone tender, but still with a great texture and bite. This only happens when you pay careful attention to every detail, and that is obvious from his meats. If you are within 10 miles of JJ, it's worth the drive to stop by and sample his labor of love.Next time, I'm trying the brisket tacos.

Wow. OMG! I ate the ribs without the sauce and by far the best I’ve had in some time. Everything was great. Potato salad reminded me of moms and Brunswick stew left me wanting more. Great job!!!!! I predict your gonna have to hire some help because your food is amazing.
got the chicken plate with two sides. Chicken is good although I wish the bread wasn't sitting under the wet chicken. The macaroni and cheese was OK. Little bit too loose for my standard and I don't mean in a cheesy way. I also felt the same way about the beans taste more tomatoey, than brown sugarey.. all in all it was OK but unfortunately didn't finish my plate didn't enjoy it?

If you're in the Fairview area and in the mood for some BBQ, (honesty even if you're not when you drive pass you will be) Gritz and BBQ is a nice quick stop of delicious southern smoked BBQ. I ordered the leg quarters plate with potato salad/coleslaw my companion ordered the Rib Tip plate with bake beans/potatoe salad, neither of us had a complaint, food was delicious and fresh! Our order came out fast! I would like to mention that beans are not vegetarian friendly if that matters. But nevertheless this place is a major must try!Owners are welcoming with great customer service.
