Listen to the reviews y'all. Honestly, you get what you pay for. I ordered griot and black rice plus a chicken patty. The griot was so good, not salty. The mushroom rice was top tier, and the patty was everything. I ll definitely visit again when I am in town. 100% recommend

The food was great! I ordered a fried pork (griot) plate that was absolutely delicious! And a stewed chicken plate. Portions were great! Ate for 2 days, and that was after splitting each plate with my brother! The wait time was extremely long, but the lady was there by herself, the place was full and she was still taking orders on the phone. I will definitely call my order in ahead of time, but there ABSOLUTELY will be a next time!

We were soooo ready to tear this food up! It’s hard to come across quality Haitian food in Atlanta. But, wasn’t as mouthwatering as expected. The plantains were heavily greasy and there was no meat in the Lalo after asking if it contained it. It was too bitter to our liking. For a ride from NC, I guess I expected more. The people were nice and it’s a clean place. Just wish the food tasted a little better.

I recently visited the Haitian Food Depot in support of my fellow Haitians, but I was quite disappointed by the quality of the food. The bean stew was sour, the red beans and rice seemed over-seasoned, and the stewed chicken had a watery consistency and an off taste. The only item I found satisfactory was the patty. I regret to say that I will not be returning to this establishment.

I hate to do this but it’s necessary
Wait time ridiculous even though I preordered online. Menu is outdated. Waited an hour for them to hand me some cold legume with no meat was infuriating. The stew chicken was so bland. It was actually disgusting. You can tell the food was not fresh.. hence cold legume. The griot was ok but they didn’t give a lot of meat and it was crumbled pieces. The black rice (djon djon) was really good. And so was the mac. Unfortunately I don’t think I’d be returning. I was so disappointed with the food. Yes I’m Haitian!

Place is closed down

The black rice was very tasty. The pikilz was good. The marinad, was great.The goat was very salty. The sauce for the rice tasted like water with tomatoes pasta, no seasoning .

I bought a griot platter. The food was fresh, well cooked and tasty. I’ve been looking for a restaurant in the area that would satisfy me and Haitian cooking depot has done just that. I would recommend to anyone looking for some fresh tasty Haitian cooking.

The food is amazing!There are a lot of negative reviews based on customer service, but the food is delicious. The portions are generous.-It took a while for someone to come and take my order.-The person that took my order verified (shouted) to the kitchen staff to ensure that all of the items were available.-The food took a loooooong time to come out.Bottom line, if you have time to wait order and enjoy. DO NOT expect a lot of attention to be given. Your order will be taken and you will wait.
