Mesquite Mexican Grill & Bar

I would like to give this place no stars however, that was not an option. My experience here tonight was horrible! Let me start off by saying that I have been to other Mesquite locations and had no issues but this particular location was not like the others. There was a power outage tonight that affected the restaurant. I was already seated and had already ordered my food prior to the outage happening. While they were able to still cook and serve food (I'm assuming due to a generator that was only connected to the kitchen) they were unable to cash out any tickets using a debit or credit card. The waiter tells us it's going to be cash only as we attempted to finish our food while eating by flashlight from our phones. I asked to speak to the manager as I don't usually carry cash however, I happened to have $40 in cash with me. The remaining total was $5.39. I spoke with the manager and asked him if due to the inconvenience of the lights could I pay the $40 and be compensated for the $5.39. He absolutely refused stating that the lights going out was not his doing. He said I would have to go to an ATM and get the cash. I told him that I understood that was not his fault but due to the inconvenience I would think that he would let me pay him what I had. He said no again and I told him this was bad business. As we were leaving out to go to an ATM he insisted that one of us stay because he didn't trust that we would return with the money. I was like seriously but ok. I went and got the money and returned to the establishment to pay. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant because while I don't believe that the customer is always right I do believe that there should have been some type of grace extended being that this was a situation out of everyone's control. Also he made a lady who only had chips and salsa go to her car and find the $1 that she was short when trying to pay and leave. I wish I were there as I would have given her the dollar seeing as I had to pull out $20 to get the $5 and some change that I owed.

Came for Cinco De Mayo it was lit and the food was good only thing was the chips weren’t fresh .

It was good for a last min lunch after a pedi w/the girls.

Service was great, quick to greet us and food came out in a timely manner.

We eat here at least one time a week. Good is always great as well as the service. We have been here with just 2 people and as many as 20 people in our group and service is always great.

Went for a Chicken Taco salad to go. Salad is running. No cheese and barely lettuce or tomato.
Did not taste fresh. Basically place in garbage.
15.00 dollars down the drain

Great food, strong margaritas, and wonderful service every time. Ask for the brown salsa. It has a smokey flavor...it's delicious!

I wouldn't feed this to a dog. Food was awful pureed beans, chili rellano looked like dog poop. Quamole salad runny and very bland. Taco shell busted from so called beef

Server had a very nasty attitude because I only ordered a platter of grilled chicken nachos to share with my family ...she also brought out shredded chicken instead of grilled and was pissed when I sent it back ...the food was ok despite the rudeness and could definitely treat customers better especially when the place was empty ...I see why now!

The food was not good at all. The mesquite dip was the ONLY thing that we enjoyed. When we arrived we were seated right away, however the server did not come to the table for about 20 mins. I saw the manager standing at the near me having a conversation with an employee and asked “where is the server”. She finally came to the table and took out order in which I had to tell her multiple times what I wanted. She appeared to be a newbie.
