The food at this Outback Steakhouse (Stockbridge location) is good and meets the brand’s usual standards, but the service quality needs serious improvement. Over several visits, I’ve noticed many servers lack basic menu knowledge and struggle to answer common questions about the food. A noticeable number also have difficulty speaking clearly or articulating themselves, which gives an impression of poor training and a lack of professionalism.

The overall service often feels rushed and casual, more in line with a budget chain than a steakhouse aiming for an upscale dining experience. The floor manager’s nonchalant approach seems to reinforce this, as staff appear untrained and not held to higher standards. While a few servers stand out with excellent service, the majority do not match the level of professionalism and polish guests expect.

With stronger management oversight, better communication training, and a higher emphasis on service standards, this location could improve significantly.

I visited the Outback in Stockbridge, ga. on this pass Friday and spent in total of $ 90 for 3 dinner, i got 2 bone in rib-eye steak with double mashed potatoes on 1 and also mashed potatoes & Broccoli on the other one. The mashed potatoes was like a block of ice.

Service was good but slow. I had the Alice springs chicken, baked potato, and a side salad. The chicken was smaller than the baked potato! The side salad we thought would have been an add on which was listed on the menu as $2.99 but was charged $4.99. The meal was not worth the $.

Horrible customer service. Lack of professionalism! Children working as wait staff, dirty, have no idea about customer service or what is on the Menu. And management has an answer for everything yet the place just does not get any better. They are clueless. If you were not off the highway you would be out of business! .

I went with my son to dine in, and we ordered a steak filet 8oz. Well done, and it was a little hard and dry. Maybe I should have ordered it medium done to get all the flavor and juicy. I also got a chili it was good, but they don't carry any saltines crackers for the chili that was a big thumbs down for me. Everything else was good/ok.

Unfortunately we didn't have a very good experience today. The bread was cold (not just out of the oven as indicated), the drinks were bitter tasting (margarita was the worst ever and who can mess up a jack and coke?) and we were charged a 30% tip before getting our bill. Thankfully we caught this error when checking the math. The steak was good and cooked just right but the chicken was much smaller than expected. This will be strike 3 on this restaurant. We definitely won't return.

Disappointing Experience at Outback

I’ve always loved Outback, but this visit was incredibly disappointing. Despite the restaurant being half-empty, the staff told us there was a 45-minute wait, which seemed odd. Still, we didn’t argue, as we were with kids and family. After waiting for an hour, they informed us they couldn’t seat us due to having a new staff—something that should never be the customer’s problem.

What made it worse was that we asked to speak with a manager, but they never showed up or offered any explanation. I value good customer service, and unfortunately, this experience was far from it.

Worst experience I ever had I went with my family it was 8 of us and they told they don’t have no table I waited for 45 minutes and there was an empty table the whole time and people aside from us complained about the food don’t not recommend poor customer service
