I mean, REALLY! This was my first, but definitely won't be my last having their food. The kale greens will make you slap the closest person to you to sleep. After I sampled the greens, (and my husband woke up) I aked him to go back in and order the bbq chicken with mac and cheese, kale greens and it came with the most ridiculously moist corn bread. Oh and I ordered an additional side of kale greens. Who's grandmama is in that kitchen, seriously! Who ever is cooking, they were paying attention.

The ribs were "fall of the bone" and seasoned very well that you didn't need sauce, but I'm a sauce kind of lady! the only disappointment was they didn't have cornbread :-(

Very friendly service, felt like I was in my family's kitchen. Was our first time here and we were able to sample the food before buying which is not done at many restaurants so that was very thoughtful!The rib tips were very juicy, and we also had the leg quarters which were literally falling off the bone when I got home and started eating. My boyfriend fell in love with the mac n cheese which he is very picky about who mac n cheese he will eat (eye roll).Food was all hot, so you don't got to worry about getting no room temperature food that's old and been sitting out all day. He was very friendly and it was a positive vibe in there. It was refreshing to visit a restaurant with good customer service since that is not a thing here in the ATL/Stone Mountain area. We will definitely be bringing family and friends here.Please make sure to visit and make sure to sign the wall when going in! I loved it here.

What can I say, the owner Bernard is the bomb.com!!! Everything I had was delicious, especially the greens. I went back the next day for more and they had run out of the greens but Bernard gave up his own stash for me and my mother. Oh, and since it was my first time, I got a piece of delicious carrot cake free!!! I am officially a regular! Thanks to everyone over there for displaying TRUE customer service, and a smile. It goes such a long way.

Immediately when I walked in my exact words were "it smells like my Mother's kitchen!" I ordered Turkey wings, Collards & Cajun Cabbages! The meat fell off off bones and the collards were seasoned nicely. We will be returning soon! Thank you Mr. Bernard & Miss. Shirley.

Couldn't ask for better service. The owner came out and gave delicious samples and chatted with us. We were 1st timers so they had us put our names on the wall (too cute). The food was ridiculously good. It's southern cooking so the food coma came quick. I will definitely return.

I was in town for a wedding and needed a bite for lunch. After some reviews and seeing they had fried whiting (they do not anymore) since I'm not a big meat eater. I decided to give it a try based on the reviews I saw. It was sooo good. The owner was friendly and welcoming. My favourite thing from there was the cornbread (best I've ever had!!!!) and the baked beans and the steam cabbage, the mac and cheese wasn't bad either and the collards were good, but I like mine with a but more brown sugar and spice. The lemonade was good, if you get the lemonade, it can make two servings, get a bottle of water and another cup, pour half the lemonade in a cup and add water. It's sweet but good. When I come back in town I shall definitely come back. And don't forget to sign the wall. Peace from Bklyn

Today I had a taste for pork ribs.I headed out to King's Soul Food located on Redan Rd In Stone Mountain. The business was closed again. This business is still struggling in the aftermath of Covid. One day their open and the next day their not. So I googled the nearest barbecue restaurant near me and Better Than Terrific Ribs & Bbq came up. When I saw that it was 5 minutes away. I said to myself, how come I don't know about a barbecue place this close? I put the address in my navigator and I'm driving the same route everyday. I get to the location and didn't believe I pass this restaurant every day. I see a big black smoke grill in the parking lot and never saw the store front restaurant.I go in and Mr. Bernard says this is your first time here right? I said, How do you know? He says because you're looking around and don't know where to go to place your order. He gave me samples of everything I purchased before buying. When I tell ya'll I was impressed with the food and service. I told Mr. Bernard that I'm never going back to King's Soul Food. The ribs were melt in your mouth with a great smoke flavor. Better than terrific just like like the name of the restaurant. I'm hooked!!!I have found my new go to barbecue spot.
