A small bbq shack is always a roll of the dice. I nat 20'd with this one! The smell just when I opened my door was amazing. The lady up front was very friendly and let us know what was still available (we came late and it's a small place, to be expected). We were lucky enough to have brisket still available. I really thought I was rolling the dice getting the cabbage (I don't see it often sans corned beef or ham) as a side and went with the potato salad as my safe bet. The cabbage was wonderful, it still had density and wasn't the least bit overdone (pretty common if I get cabbage from a restaurant). It was infused with that wonderful smoky bbq taste. The potato salad was amazing; a great blend of sweet with a hint of mustard. Then the brisket, meus dei! I could pull it apart with my fork but it stayed together when poked to bring it up to eat. It swam in that delicious smoky savory mix that melted in my mouth. I immediately bought another brisket to go, the last half-rack of ribs they had, and 3 bottles of their bbq sauce. The sauce!!! Sweet and smokey, hmmmmmm. I'm augusta based and will stop here any time I'm NEAR Atlanta.

This was our first try of Buy the bone. The look of the place is down home. It’s giving old school. I’m not against that! Because when you seee it you know there’s some authenticity behind it. Culturally I had high expectations like Sunday dinner ( we went on Sunday ) but not Thanksgiving style when you’re doing the most! Well it’s good! The brisket was tender! We liked the authenticity of the sauce, it wasn’t just sweet baby ray or something like that. Somebody is doing something with the BBQ sauce!!!! We Mac and cheese was done up! Somebody doing something with the cheeses and seasonings! The greens were seasoned and meatless. Couple things I would want to see, yams(sweet potatoes) and burnt ends to the brisket, yes! In between the tasty greens and Mac n cheese some yams would be great!

One of the best neighborhood spots in Stone Mountain. Meat is smoked to perfection. Homemade barbecue sauce is delicious. I love the barbecue Cabbage, mac and cheese, baked beans, and potato salad.

Top 3 locations for ribs in GA. Problem is seems like they are closed more than they are open☹. Prices are a bit high, but everything is going up.

Food is good but could get a little more meat for the price, especially the brisket. If the portions were a little more, I would have given 5 stars. I bought the cocolate cake for my husband and woulnd up estimg half of it, and i dont even like chocolate cake.... it was slammin! Smoked cabbage was good. Greens could have been cooked a little more, but overall, I was pleased!

First timer and now a loyal customer. Where do I start, the atmosphere is nostalgic and cozy. The service, I felt like family. The food!! Delicious!!!! I had the collards, mac and cheese and ribs. The ribs had just the right amount of smokeyness and seasoning, you dont need sauce. Lastly, the dessert, you have to get the dessert, it completes the meal.

THEE most superb bbq I’ve had in a LONG time. That meat was soooo tender and flavorful. Without a doubt top notch. Service was pleasant and quick. They were on deck, ready to serve. I hope to return sooner than later.
