Nice place, very cool views of the lake and the forest, varied food (salads, burgers, soups, salmon, starters...), very good service. It can be a place to go to eat if you visit the monument

Always an enjoyable experience. Good food. Great and cheerful service. Nice restaurant inside and out. Great views if you sit outside. One of our go to restaurants. Check the hours of operation before you go. Also, since this restaurant is inside Stone Mountain park, you must have a seasonal pass or pay for daily entrance fee to the park to come here

The reservation hostess failed to let us know the $20.00 (or $40) Golf Club parking charge. I learned about that at the gate, after driving there for an hour. I complained and no compensation was offered. Management should "stamp" a parking ticket. In our case, make a compensated offer! We turned around and went elsewhere.

Went to commons during a work retreat at the Stone Mountain resort. I suppose it was off season and there was not alot of people there. It was a Tuesday. One server. Gloria was very nice. I ended up making a reservation two nights before because i thought it was going to be busy. I believe their online menu did not match what they were serving. The online menu is what caught my eye for the decision to go to this restaurant. My coworker and i stayed anyway. The view was great. I had my heart set on the prime rib but i ended up getting the rib eye. The mushroom glaze was delicious. My steak was a tad bit underdone but overall meal was good.
We dined just before they closed on a Monday at 5:30. Very few people in the restaurant. Had a beautiful view of the lake from our table. We were greeted in a relaxed and friendly manner by the host and had really terrific service from Gloria, our waitress. The men ordered the ribs and they were very pleased with the tenderness and flavor. I had the arugula salad with grilled salmon. Loved the salmon but the salad had raw onions rather than mild pickled onions ( which they have had on this salad in the past) and not enough of the feta and pecans for the volume of arugula. So I enjoyed it but left most of the arugula on the plate. My sister ordered the chicken and pineapple kabobs and it all looked grilled to perfection. She loved it. This is a restaurant that serves simple fare , has a lovely view and great service.
It was their 1st day with extended hours and they treated us like royalty. Celebrated my birthday there. The fried grouper, salmon and chicken kabobs were all wonderful. Drinks were also very good. Our server was amazing!

This place has great views of the lake and Stone Mountain, and, thankfully, the food pairs perfectly with the views. In fact, I'd say that guests of the Evergreen Lakeside Resort who are thinking of eating at one of the on-site eateries should make the short drive to this restaurant instead. While staying here for the weekend, the Commons had the best food I ate the entire time, easily. I had a chicken and pineapple kabob with asparagus and rice pilaf that was outstanding. It was grilled perfectly and had a nice balance of savory, sweet, and spicy. My wife had grilled salmon with the same sides, and the bite I got to sample was also textbook. It was seasoned well and cooked exactly how it should be. Overall, this spot was a treat.

Be cautious of higher prices during holidays, as the website does not mention anything about special holiday pricing. A family of 6 cost me $574 what got me was I bought the same salad from Walmart premade. Good luck.

The food was horrible. Waffles were hard as rocks. Some of the burners not on so food was cold. The beef was tough...server gave slice piece that been sitting under a heat lamp and was not moist. The only two nice experience was our server Gloria. Each time we had an issue with food she was quick to resolve. The ambience and view were great. Will not chose the Commons for special occasion like Mother's Day again.
People rasist with hispanic family and too spensive

We went for dinner on a Saturday night & it was not busy at all. We had sweet tea (which was perfect!) & a craft beer. The fried green tomato appetizer was good, but not great. The salmon BLT was excellent and so were the fries. I ordered the grilled pork ribs & I could not tell that they ever touched a grill. They were also very tough and definitely did not fall off the bone. The southern slaw was good. Our waitress Gloria was wonderful & took great care of us. We got to choose our seat & got a table overlooking the outside dining area by the lake. The sun was setting and we would have had the sun in our eyes had we chose to sit outside at that time of day.
Edit: went back for lunch on a Friday this time and I had the salmon BLT and my friend had the shaved steak sandwich. Both were awesome! We had Gloria as our waitress again. And the sweet tea was still the best!
