Ordered yesterday and I still don’t feel well. My mother and I ordered the 2 pc dark plate and the pork chop plate. Upon opening the box, my chicken was burnt and my meal wasn’t fully correct when I received it. The sides I ordered were yams and macaroni. I received the macaroni and collard greens instead. The only saving grace on the plate was the muffin. I tried to give it a chance as I ordered through DoorDash and spent my money on the plate so, I took the skin off that was burnt and tried to eat it and only could eat the drumstick. After eating, it took about 5 minutes and I felt off. My mother got two pork chops and could only eat one because there was a foreign object in the second piece that resembled plastic. If she ate that one first she wouldn’t have eaten anything on the plate. She also felt sick after eating and we opted out of eating anything for dinner because we were nervous to even eat because we were nauseous. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place.

The food is EXCELLENT. I have tried Smothered Pork chops, turkey wings, and baked/fried chicken. All of them were spectacular. The Mac and cheese is very delicious. I would highly recommend you to try Ms. Pat’s. Mr. Joe-the Chef-is very professional, friendly, and approachable. Three things that I like. I will be returning soon.

I just moved to the area and was looking for a soul food place and they popped up in my search. Although there was no wait the customer service was dry. The portions size was mall for the price, cornbread was more like cake, cold and cabbage had no flavor, and they drowned the meatloaf in tomato sauce. The Mac and cheese was the only really good thing on the plate.

My food was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The customer service was excellent, and I’ll definitely be coming back. In fact, I returned because I had forgotten my mac n’ cheese, and it was well worth it! I couldn’t resist grabbing some more greens, and I even ate my second salmon croquette before I could take a picture—it was just that good. Everything was exactly what I wanted, and Mr. Joe’s hospitality made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

This was my first time there. Tiana was pleasant and gave good customer service. The food and portions were good.
My honest opinion of the atmosphere is that is was lack luster. The floors were sticky and filthy, not a great first impression. I decided to stay and give them a try because of the 100 health dept. score. Overall it was okay but not very inviting.

The food was good despite a majority of what was listed on the menu not being available. Service was a little lacking but, there were only 2 people working that day and I understand how that can be overwhelming. The atmosphere was pretty good

I visited today to pick up some cornbread for my son, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile from the cashier. Their friendly attitude immediately set a positive tone for my visit. The cornbread was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious—my son couldn’t stop raving about it! The restaurant itself was spotless, with a clean and inviting atmosphere that made me feel comfortable and relaxed. It’s clear that they take pride in both their food and their customer service. I will most definitely be returning soon, and I’m looking forward to trying more items from the menu.

This will be the last time I go. Horrible wait time and no macaroni and cheese. The food was actually horrible this time. I won't be surprised if this place closes soon. It started off great, I'm not sure what made it change but I don't see them revovering.

Over charged for skimpy portions, I felt ripped off. $15.99 for a skimpy veggie plate. Then an extra buck for another mini cornbread muffin, should’ve came with two automatically. My mom’s baked chicken didn’t even come with a bed of rice like most soul food spots. The chef’s vibe was weird the girl at the register was nervous but polite. I wouldn’t recommend or return. The portion was so small we went to who’s got soul in Decatur on Covington Hwy after we left Ms. Pat’s . I did a comparison. Who’s Got soul is the black container and Ms. Pats is in the white. It’s supposed to be string beans over rice you can’t see the rice, this man made a plate for a child.
