The service was extremely slow. There's an automatic gratuity which I feel was not deserved. One of the people I was with didn't get her food at all and her balance was higher than mine. The atmosphere is nice but there are extremely overpriced and service is slow.

When we walked in the restaurant it smells funny The service was good her name was Tracy she is a very good server but the food it was okay we had appetizers of the habanero chicken wings the chicken wings was very very small I was shocked how small they were and we didn't get our soul food rolls until later she forgot to bring the soul food rolls the drinks where okay my daughter had a lemon drop said it tastes like Minute Maid it didn't taste that good I had a Long Island Iced Tea they didn't even mix the drink I had to stir it myself I had the turkey wing platter the wings tasted so good they were seasoned well they were baked to perfection but the jasmine rice was not cooked all the way and the greens were too salty I had to exchange it for brussel sprouts it was better the sweet potato casserole taste good it had marshmallows on top butt the marshmallows was not toasted the marshmallows was just melted on top of the sweet potato casserole it look like maybe it was put in the microwave because the sweet potato casserole was very hot and the bathrooms was not clean

Food and drinks were on point. Server was really busy but did a great job with handling everything that was thrown at her. Drinks were strong. Really enjoyed the music and atmosphere.

When we went seem like everything was wrong. No event, short staffed, ran out of certain foods, and waited to be seated & served yet not many people there. I think there is potential because the food was good, pricey, but good. The staff interacted with was nice. The establishment is nice and looks like a whole vibe when there are events and more people on there. May need to try them again another day.

Amazing atmosphere. Staff was so welcoming as soon as we stepped through the door! Food was phenomenal! Such a great late night find.

A perfectly good ladies night ruined by bad food.

Let’s start with appetizers…

The crab cake came in the size of a salmon croquette for $18… my cousin ordered it and hated it. I love crab cake so I asked to try. It was so disgusting I gagged and spit it out. It tasted fishy like the smell, not like oceany lol

I asked for my appetizer, which was lemon pepper wings, to be crispy dry. The skin on the wings was so loose and they were nowhere near crispy. I sent them back twice and just decided to go with it after two failed attempts… my friend got the soul rolls… egg roll with collards, Mac, and yams… THEY WERE DRY.

Now for entrees — my cousin and I ordered Rasta pasta. I got mine with chicken, she got hers with shrimp. This “Rasta Pasta” didn’t have any bell peppers or onions in it? It was just Alfredo that was heavily peppered with a dash of jerk sauce I presume. The chicken in my pasta was flavorless and overcooked.

My other two friends ordered the snapper… DRY & the bacon cheeseburger. It was really a jalapeño burger but she took all the hot stuff off. Why was the bacon on the burger bacon bits? I am so serious.

The worst part is… my meal and drinks were like $75. With all the fees it was like $106… the waitress didn’t bring the itemized bill out until I had already tipped her $23 cash. The gratuity that was automatically added to the check was $18…. She was not an attentive server & the table was overcrowded by our used dishes the entire time. I NEVER would’ve tipped twice let alone $40 on a $75 meal and drinks….

We had a great time. Food was decent. I really wanted the Oxtails though. That's my only complaint were they were not ready. If we know Oxtails take at least 4 hours. They should've been prepared earlier. We got there at 5 for a confirmed reservation. 6pm I would've expected dinner after drinks and appetizers and we were told they would take an additional 2 hours. So I was bummed about that.

Don’t even waste your time going here. This place has so much potential. The service was TERRIBLE OMG! the first time service was great & decided to come back and and it was a terrible experience. I came for AYCE and bottomless mimosas, the professionalism isn’t there at all expect one server she was so sweet the other girls in there the attitude was uncalled for. The food isn’t consistent, then half of the stuff was unavailable on the menu for AYCE. Waste of money and time. The AYCE thy advertise is NOT the same food or portion size as promoted on their social media page. Don’t be a fool and fall for it. The mimosas…..don’t even get it! it’s all juice no champagne then the bartender will get an attitude when you inform them about it. Then they ran out of champagne for the mimosas smh. They def need more help and workers who actually are professional. Then the DJ has the music all the way up and you can’t even hear people at the table. I tried to express my concerns about being unhappy but no one could care less. This place won’t be seeing me again. Save you money!

We had reservations but still had to wait over an hour to be seated. On top of that, the wait for the food was extremely long. While the food itself was good, the poor service makes it not worth it. The bartender was very rude, and if you’re hoping for a refund or to speak with a manager, don’t bother — there’s no manager on staff to handle any issues. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and I will never return.

I love the ambiance of the resturaunt however I was not pleased with the service to much. There were reservations made but one person who also had to run the bar was responsible for our large table as well. I noticed they also had to help other parties when they arrive. Management did bring us water out a few times to help her out. We mentioned the restroom needed tighten up but they didn't get around to it while we were there. Now, as far as the food, I love the Gumbo but the snapper was fried too hard til I couldn't enjoy the little fish that was left on it. The sweet potatoes....... well as I mentioned, the Gumbo was pretty good. Maybe we went on a bad night im thinking. The setup has potential for sure but that will be based on management. I really hope it improves with service and food quality.

Customer service was absolutely HORRIBLE! The bartender and waitress had the most nastiest attitude. I hate that there was an automatic 20% gratuity because to be honest, she didn’t deserve a tip at all. I ordered devil eggs with shrimp thinking there will be a whole shrimp on top (because I’ve been to other places before and it’s an actual shrimp on top) they had the nerve to cut the shrimp I can’t even say in half because it wasn’t even half a shrimp it was a piece of a shrimp. The wait time was extremely long for no reason. They were not busy at all. They seemed understaffed as well. This was my first time visiting and it was not a good experience at all. They really need to either train their staff or hire people who actually wanna come to work, because the energy they gave off was that they didn’t wanna be or they don’t like their job. Very disappointing & a waste of money.

I went with my boyfriend on a Saturday night (reservation at 8:15, we were a little late). It wasn’t too busy, but booths were mostly taken and we had to wait about 15 mins before being seated at a larger booth. The music at first was perfect-2000s R&B/rap at a nice volume with a grown crowd.

The biggest issue was service. It seemed like there was only one main waitress handling the floor, plus the bartender trying to cover tables too. Getting water and drinks took forever, so we ordered everything at once to avoid waiting another 20-30 minutes. We tried the jerk rolls (just okay). My Rasta Pasta with shrimp was delicious and came out in good time, but my boyfriend’s turkey wings took 30 minutes longer. Also, they automatically add 20% gratuity to the bill, just a heads up.

By 9:30, the DJ turned the music way up—so loud we had to yell to hear each other. The music itself kept us entertained, but the service was frustrating.

While visiting Stone Mountain on Friday, September 5, 2025, my best friend and I decided to try Nostalgia Kitchen since it was close to our hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

We were served by the bartender, who was clearly distracted trying to juggle bar duties and DoorDash orders. Our small two-top table quickly filled up, and items weren’t cleared in a timely way, I even dropped silverware multiple times because there was no room. When I tried moving a few items to a nearby empty table to make space, the bartender came over to tell me not to do that since it had already been cleaned.

When the check came, an automatic $25 gratuity had been added even though we were only a party of two. I asked for it to be removed because tips should be based on the service received, not automatic unless you’re a party of six or more. Instead of handling this gracefully, the bartender got defensive and had an attitude. She did re-ring the bill without the automatic gratuity, but the interaction was unnecessarily unpleasant.

Out of courtesy, I still paid the $135 bill and left a $17 cash tip. To her credit, the other server (not our bartender) apologized for the poor service, which I appreciated.

The worst part came later, when I checked my bank account, I saw I had been charged twice: once for the canceled check and again for the corrected one. Now I have to dispute the charge with my bank.

⚠️ Warning to out-of-town guests: please double-check your bank statements if you dine here. Between inattentive service, automatic gratuities added incorrectly, and duplicate charges, this restaurant left me with a very bad impression.
