Food was delicious. Had the honey garlic shrimp and broccoli sweet potato. Server was nice but forgot a few things and had to be reminded. Other staff was nice as well, helping where they could. Place is small and homey which I loved. The menu is small as well with some items not being served at lunch. Parking is free and mostly street and some had limits on time.

Booked reservations for Sunday brunch with out of town guests. We were greeted and seated promptly. Every staff member who had contact with us was pleasant and effective. The dining room is small but not crowded. The menu is very creative, offering items not typically found elsewhere. The food was delicious. A very positive experience.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for years but hardly come through Atlanta anymore. It completely blew me away. Our appetizers were delicious… fried green tomatoes and sweet potato hummus (seriously AMAZING). For dinner I had pulled pork macaroni and cheese which was out of this world. My son had pork chops, creamed collard greens, and sweet potato soufflé. He said it was the juiciest and best pork chop he’d ever eaten, he loved his sides as well. Desserts were sweet potato pie and sweet potato pound cake. This place was excellent. I also had the sweetest server who took great care of us. She was fun and friendly. We were so happy with our experience at Sweet Potato Cafe!Vegetarian options: There were lots of options that were vegetarian and gluten free.Parking: Parking is available right in front. There is also a lot across the street but I wasn’t sure if that was acceptable.

I'm traveling and love discovering unique and quaint places with great food. This place did not disappoint. I had the tomato basil soup (so tasty and conforting), the sweet potato hummuswith homemade tortilla chips (delish) and the best grilled chicken salad I have had in a while. I look forward to my next meal here.

Loved this place!! The food is amazing. We had the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. Amazing! The chef put a twist on this tradtional dish. The pulled pork with sweet potato mustard barbecue sauce was soo good!! Upscale in a small town. We camped in Stone Mountain and wanted to tour the town. We found this wonderful cafe. The people were so friendly. Fast service. Our waiter was a polite young man. 100% would recommend!

It was lovely. Sweet potato on and in everything not for me but the food was good. The customer service was perfect even thothey were short staffed that day. Most of all I loved that it is Black family owned, woman owned in a place where people like us were once scorned. . Great location in the town center and I'll definitely return , God willing, to experience their patio when the cherry trees bloom.

1st time here as we held an alumni chapter meeting/fellowship. Very quaint and great service. I had the veggie omelet and house potatoes. Very filling. I'm not in Stone Mountain as often so I will have to come back and try the other items on menu.

The tomato basil soup was excellent. Also had the meatloaf, it was prepared well and tasted great. The overall salt level was on the low side, which can be important for people sensitive to salt. You can always add sodium. This could be viewed as a negative. Just be aware. You will not be disappointed by this mom and pop place, cozy, comfortable, and great music.

Two friends and I had a delicious dinner here on 2/7/2024. The place is tiny, so be sure to check on seating availability. And they close at 7 pm so if you're thinking of dinner, come early.Vegetarian options: Excellent selection of main dishes and sides.Parking: Three parking spaces that belong to the restaurant but plenty of free street parking.

Our server was very sweet and helpful! The atmosphere is very cozy and warm and the food was DELICIOUS and very reasonable priced! I just wish they had a bit more veggies/veggie optionsParking: There's a small parking lot in front which was filled when we went but there is PLENTY of free street parking including right in front.
