This is the best soul food restaurant in Ga. I had the Turkeys wings, Mac&Cheese and Collard Greens. I tell you the food was delicious. It was too good!

I honestly tried to give this place another chance as an entrepreneur of a black owned business but at some point we truly have to hold ourselves accountable for the products we send out the door! I’m from Americus Ga so when I Google soul food near me I’m expecting close to home or at least very similar. I ordered a two Turkey wings plate with collards and yams. The Turkey wings were clearly a few days old yet still decent in taste. The yams were mashed with pecans yet lacked sugar, flavor and spices. The collards…. CANNED!!! The collards are canned collards that had been reheated over several days as they were mushy(I know food costs are high but after day two you have to trash them!!!) I placed this order through door dash and the pictures online had me thinking I’d be getting something totally different! I’m willing to give this place another chance at a later date and possibly update this review.

I came here on 10-26-2023......my wife said they were raving about the restaurant on tik tok. We walked in, and they were just opening, I walked up to the counter to look at the food. The smothered chicken looked overcooked, and the gravy on the smothered pork chops was 2 light. The Mac n cheese was overcooked.....the sides tasted like they were straight from a can. The meat was decent, but the sides were trash. I wished Uncle Willie had been there because I know.... he would not have let it go down like that.. I won't be returning.....10 out of 10 I do not recommend!!!!

I recommend this place to any and everyone. I lived in Atl 6 years and it took me til this year to find this place. All I can say is lovely things about Uncle Willie’s.. I come here once a day for a veggie plate. I always get dressing with gravy, Mac and cheese and green beans with an Arnold Palmer (side note glad none of his sides have no meat in it)I’ve been to a few different soul food places in Atlanta and none compare to this one. The food is so damn good, seasoned to perfection. And the owner Willie is so sweet and approachable. If anyone left a bad review they lying like hell..Vegetarian options: If you don’t consume meat then the veggie plate is your you. The sides have no meat.

I strongly recommend!!!!!!! Entering into Uncle’s I felt a sense of exquisite aromas that made me reminisce of grandma’s cooking. All of the staff greeted me with love and excitement to serve.The display of each Dish was More than Tempting, The Flavor From the fried wings was Explosive so much so every time i’m in the area i try a new dish. Damn this food is good. I strongly recommend. l try Uncle Willie’s soul food as often as I can.

Love the food here. The turkey wings keep me coming back. Uncle Willie is funny as hell and has been that way since when I first entered his restaurant. I have brought many empty bellies there, and none were ever disappointed.
Everything in this restaurant is so damn good. People try for yourself experience it for yourself. Everyone has a different taste bud and a different attitude. We must support each other.

I was a bit nervous coming here due to the negative reviews recently, but decided to give it a chance anyway. Go glad I did.We got turkey wings fresh out the ovenMeatloaf - mostly beef but seasoned with just the right amount of everythingSmothered chicken- so good and the gravy was bombFried catfish - crispy, seasoned and fried to perfectionBeef neck bone - also bomb.The Mac n cheese was delicious, the string beans were a bit too salty, the butter beans and greens were both good.There were NO cockroaches as I read in a review, even though it was raining outside.The service was excellent and culturally competent and aware (for my Muslim brothers and sisters).They have many entrees that were not pork and none of the sides had pork. (They also have swine if y'all eat that)Unfortunately they didn't have any deserts today. Big disappointment. We'll be back though and hopefully then they'll have desert.

Food use to be pretty good. Maybe when Uncle Willie is around it is. Regardless, the food has taken a slump in flavor. Its disappointing considering it tasted good at one point. Couldnt even imagine recieving catering after the cube steak I had. Yall gotta do better.Parking: Wheel chair accesible.

My 1st time eating here. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for those who enjoy food with a lot of flavor. The food for my taste was very bland. The macaroni was overcooked. The dressing was good. The fried chicken could use more seasoning but hot sauce helped. The yams where whipped and not flavored at all. I tried to doctor it up.. no luck. I think if the cooks seasoned the food it would tasted better. I will not be returning or recommending this establishment to anyone. The staff was nice and friendly. I spent about $20 for a 4 piece fried with two sides and added an extra. The price point is decent. Giving two stars for service. I believe if they SEASON the food and don’t over cook it, there business would pick up.
