Central City Tavern - Sugar Hill

We enjoy coming here because it’s close and we like the menu. We’ve had a few service experiences that were challenging but keep showing up to give business to a local spot. Tonight we came on a Sunday and were excited to see half price apps and Tropicala beer on Sunday evenings. We ordered 3 apps, 2 tropicalas and several other things. When the bill arrived, they had only discounted the beer. My husband asked and was told “oh the apps are only half price for industry night.” Yet he couldn’t explain what that meant and that’s certainly not listed on the menu. It truly felt like bait and switch (which is illegal so I hope that’s not the case). Not sure how owns or manages this spot, but their business advertisements and practices need revised. Service is hit or miss. Waitress tonight was kind! Sometimes they seem bothered or hungover….

Terrible service. This place needs a new manager. Waited for 40 minutes, all the booths were open, 3 people working, she said can’t seat us bc the kitchen is backed up. It’s a Friday night, get it together, never again. We finally get seated and another hour to get our food and it was cold/awful

Great place to eat, watch, the game, or just enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommend. The staff is super friendly. Perfect location overlooking the Sugar Hill Bowl. Patio seating as well.

Great location and very clean. However, I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Alfredo and it taste like a plate of creamy water with seasoned with black pepper. My dessert wasn’t any better. What a waste of time and money.

This is the best food I have ever eaten and the customer service is excellent. My dinner was fried Oreos and Mac n cheese and I genuinely almost erupted in my seat from how good it was. I WILL be coming here again. 10/10 everyone needs to be experience this restaurant.

Went for second date. The food was amazing as were the drinks. Not usually a drinker but these were terrific.
