We love getting breakfast here. The food and the service has always been great. The only downside is that it can get pretty full. The wait can get long if you're not there early.

My boyfriend really enjoyed this place!

Unfortunately I was unable to get anything due to being gluten intolerant- I called ahead of time and asked if they had any gluten free options, they said their *soups* were gluten free and they have a gluten free bread option. I planned on ordering their tomato bisque and grilled cheese only to find out the soup was not in fact gluten free (cheap thickeners). I asked if I could have one of their other soups only to discover that I had been misinformed, there was only one soup. Now, if I hadn’t double checked I would have been in a world of hurt. I ended up getting a fruit cup- which is normally how things play out haha. I have worked in many restaurants and I know from firsthand experience how much care goes into considering food allergies. The atmosphere is nice, the employees were really nice and I could tell they felt bad, but it’s just a communication issue between the team. I urge anyone from the restaurant to make sure each and every team member is properly trained to understand how allergies and intolerances affect people. Again if I hadn’t asked a second time I would have been very sick for days. I wouldn’t have gone here if it didn’t advertise as having gluten free options, which was partially true but it felt like a bait and switch if I’m being brutally honest. Sorry to sound harsh but when it comes to serving food to the public it’s a serious matter.

Decent brunch, have had really good experiences here and would have given 5 stars but the quality, freshness and taste of the food hasn’t been as usual the past two times I’ve been there. Still a decent brunch place and espresso drinks are good here.

Heart of Sugar Hill, cafe/restaurant with all kinds of drinks and breakfast lunch type meals, new building, nice layout, outdoor seating, I ordered a Curtado and in spite of a short line, I got it quickly. Friendly efficient staff. They need a bicycle rack for those that ride over

I loved this place so much from the very first time we visited. I couldn’t stop telling everyone what a wonderful place it was and how they just had to try it! Now I just feel like an idiot for providing them with my business and free word of mouth advertising. Shame on me for being a loyal customer who just wanted to pay what she pays every time she comes, rather than being overcharged $8 per drink. I’m sad to say, I won’t be returning to Rushing. I hope that none of you ever have to experience what I did today at any restaurant. Especially one you regular and have never had an issue with.

Maybe Jason was having a bad day.. I’m not sure. He came out hot and ready for an argument. He was looking at me with the crazy angry bug eyes before I could even show him the receipts from a few days prior. It was making me uncomfortable so I asked him to stop by saying “Can you stop giving me crazy eyes?” then he proceeded to look at Alexis (one of the other managers for Rushing) roll his eyes and say “I’m about to call the marshals in 3 seconds”. Why? Because you’re scaring me with how you’re speaking to me and giving me angry/crazy eyes.

When I say this is a place we regularly went to, I mean so much so that multiple waitresses knew and greeted us each time we visited. Everyone knows our dogs and my child by name. Even one of the owners, Annabelle, has given me potty training tips for my autistic child. This was truly a heartbreaking way to have been treated.

It’s with a heavy heart that I write this review… I left Rushing Trading Co. in tears today because of how I was treated by the manager Jason. I’ve been coming to Rushing for over a year now. It’s become our go to place. The food is great and so is the coffee! Along with the atmosphere. With that being said, I was overcharged for my Caribbean Coffee (my usual- for the last year or so) today. So I brought this to my waiters attention, she consulted with the manager, Jason, who then came outside to my table to belittle me. When he approached me, I tried to show him multiple recent receipts on my phone where I’ve been charged $12 for the Caribbean coffee (now trying to charge me $20!). He had no interest in viewing it. His attitude and tone when speaking to me was so disgusting and unprofessional. As a manager, this situation should’ve been handled very differently. Hell anyone with human decency could’ve handled this situation better than he did. Not to mention out of the nearly 70+ times I’ve been to this restaurant in the last 14 months, I’ve never once had any issues/problems. I’ve spent a total of $3831.47 at this establishment. (Not to mention what my friend who also always comes with me spends — and the people we’ve introduced and brought here) And yes! I do have receipts to prove this!! And yes! I did go back and calculate it because I was in such disbelief of how this so called manager spoke to me. As anyone who’s been to this restaurant knows you can have the receipts texted to your phone. So clearly, I wasn’t trying not to pay for what I ordered. What I wasn’t going to do, is be blatantly overcharged. $8 increase per drink! Absurd!!

I have a non-verbal autistic 6 year old son who doesn’t always stay in his seat. One of the many reasons we choose to sit outside when visiting Rushing. I’m not sure if Jason had something against me or my son… maybe he was tired of seeing him jump and chase the birds around outside. Who knows. What I do know is my friend, who is also a regular at Rushing with us had an issue once at the Johns Creek location with her drink order; When telling Jason of this incident at the Sugar Hill location one day when we were brunching, he was so nice and apologetic, he even offered her a free meal! Maybe it’s because she’s a beautiful blonde girl with well behaved doggies and no autistic child. I’m not sure why I was belittled and made to feel so bad that I walked away crying with my son to the car. The way she was treated and the way I was treated was very different. I was honestly taken back by Jason. I wasn’t looking for a free meal… I was looking to pay the normal price and not be charged $100 for 4 drinks and a $5 kids meal.

Let me not forget to mention what his reasoning was for over charging me. The 2nd and 4th drink I ordered were not made correctly. There was a clear difference so instead of remaking the drinks, the waitress brought out a shot of Irish cream. I always order my drink with Irish cream instead of the spiced rum that comes in it. I’ve NEVER had an up-charge of $8 until today. What a surprise this was.

Good was great. They do have limited seating. We had to wait for 1 hour just to get a table during brunch time.

I had such a great experience at brunch on Sunday. Shout out to my barista, Alyssa! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly from the moment I sat down. She made great menu recommendations and checked in just the right amount. Even though the place was busy, she stayed calm and upbeat the whole time. It made me feel relaxed and enjoyable. You can tell she really cares about her customers. I’ll definitely be coming back.
And I definitely recommend the breakfast charcuterie board.

Came here for the first time for a late breakfast/brunch. Arrived on a Sunday at about 11am and was told it was a 30 minute wait. No biggie - that’s average for bunch places. We get a call at eight about 30 mins offering an outside table. Which it’s about 65 out so that’s fine. Server took our drinks - she was very pleasant. But everything was really slow. Took about 15 mins for her to come back after drinks were delivered to take our order. Then the food took a really long time to come out. The food was good - not mind blowing but good. Overall we would try it again when we have time. We left at 12:50pm so from the time we put our name down to when we left it was almost 2 hours. Ended up being late to a 1pm soccer game we were attending. But again not a huge deal. Glad we tried it!

This place was the definition of perfect. From the scenery, to the polite staff, and the food which tasted spectacular. You cannot beat it, I went here with my family for breakfast and I cannot wait to go back! I will mention there is limited seating so expect wait times for busier days, but I would say it would be worth the wait!
