The waiters were so nice and polite. The food came out quickly. And it tasted so good ?. Also the pricing is not expensive. Overall, this place was great and me and my family are definitely coming back.

I absolutely love the food and service here! I’m a Chicago native so when it comes to food we don’t play. This place hits a home run in the food that they serve. I have come on several occasions during my visit here for work the last few weeks. This is the only plan I would recommend in the area to anyone. Great food, great service, great environment

It’s a neighborhood bar that’s serves good/solid food. The service was fast and friendly and the regulars were funny and welcoming. I would definitely go back when I’m in that area again.
Ordered via door dash last night and our burgers were outstanding! Not sure how they grilled them but it tasted like they were grilled on a charcoal grill. I would like to get another burger today. The grilled shrimp was enjoyed by my aunt. Definitely will be ordering regularly since we want them to stay around. Encourage everyone to try them and hopefully you will agree so we can keep this place open.

“The Tavern” is by far THE best kept secret, indeed! My friend suggested we go there for dinner because we live near by and have been wanted to try out someplace new to eat. WOW, say it again WOW, the new owner chose the right chef/cook because everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! We couldn’t stop saying “damn this is good” over and over again. The portions allowed each of us to take food home to keep enjoying. So run, drive, bike and watch your fave sports on the many tv’s, have a cocktail or 2-3 and enjoy!!! Tell them Maddog and Tanya told you to check the place out !!BTW, the Shrimp and Grits to die for?

I eat here 1-2 times a week, for a couple years now. The new menu is good, but I often get the same 3-4 things that I like (Taco Salad, Wings, Cowboy burger). I like the Roasted Wings (Medium) with the Wing Wednesday special being very affordable. The wings aren't huge but flavor, quality, & value are much better than the nearby competition. The new owner has been making changes and trying to improve things, with good results.I see most negative reviews are OLD (which was fair for past years- but not now). The service is consistently good, I always enjoy going in. The atmosphere is nice and low key.

Beer was flat and ambiance is Midwest mill Town. But maybe not a bad place to watch a game on a Sat or Sunday.
