The Rooftop Sugar Hill

We came here for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday. It was so much fun and had a great vibe. The espresso martinis were amazing. Everyone who worked there was incredibly nice and very service oriented. The live music was better than expected. I’m so happy this is here as normally you’d have to go to Alpharetta for something similar. Thanks for making my birthday memorable!

Drive the extra 20 minutes to downtown Duluth. You’ll find Noona, and Falling Rabbit. Owners are condescending, rude, and absolutely misogynistic.

I am a regular at the roof top. It’s the best place with truly the best staff. The owners are so great, welcoming and the nicest people you will ever meet.

I am disgusted by the reviews that were posted last night. They’re telling a total lie and honestly google should remove them. My group happened to be sitting there when Jeff the owner CLOSED the beer garden. It had been open all night and is always open. Once Jeff closed it, the young lady, who wrote the lie of a review, stated “well don’t have OPEN beer taps if you don’t want people to just serve themselves. I was actually shocked. Then the other owner, Jen walked up, because she was being so nice and soft spoken, I only heard her say no, no when the young lady begged her not to kick her out. The owners were not upset at all, but wanted the ladies to know that the beer garden was not free and not self serve. The lady apologized and Jen was smiling at her. No one was accused of stealing and no one was asked to leave.

As for the comments on the staff, most of the staff has been here since this bar opened, that doesn’t sound like unhappy staff to me!!!

So please know, the reviews from last night are total bogus and total lies. You have someone that was embarrassed for taking a free beer and got caught. The owners were very friendly with the situation.

Google I recommend you to take down the lies of the reviews from last night and truly ban these ladies from writing anymore. This is someone’s business, if you can’t tell the truth…. Don’t speak at all. God doesn’t like ugly y’all!!!

This has been my go to place on the weekends. I can't say enough about the musical talent that comes here to play. The staff has always treated me well and I always leave knowing I've made at least one new friend. The owners, Jeff and Jennifer, are super nice and cater to your needs. I had requested a bottle of a particular beverage to be added to their shelf behind the bar. I came back a week later, and sure enough, he got the bottle. Keep up the awesome work Rooftop!!!

This rooftop bar is an absolute gem! I’ve found myself coming back five weekends in a row, and each visit is better than the last. The atmosphere is unbeatable—truly the best in the area. The owners are incredibly warm and personable, making a point to visit every table and ensure everyone’s having a great time. Their Old Fashioned, made with Angel’s Envy and expertly smoked, is pure perfection. It’s the kind of drink that keeps you coming back for more. If you’re in the area, this place is a must-visit!

Low key sucks tbh bad vibes

The male owner opened up a bar tap, and said to our whole group "help yourselves". He walked away, and one of our friends filled her beer from the tap. The female owner walked up and got angry. Our friend poured out her beer, and we offered multiple times to pay for it. We left a single review, and we have now seen that the owners are forcing their friends to post reviews saying we were "stealing" when this is obviously not the case. It is ridiculous that patrons would be treated this way. There is video evidence that a single beer was filled, and when confronted, it was poured out, and compensation was offered. Learn how to treat your customers kindly.

Edit: Thanks for responding to my review!!! I didn't think having the owner offer us to fill a drink was stealing! Especially after we poured it out and offered to pay! Good on you for totally misunderstanding the situation. I have no urge to come back.

An amazing place to come with friends and family!

Owners were completely rude. Feel bad for staff. They were also seemingly unhappy. Overall bad vibe. Avoid this place. it’s crazy that we were accused of stealing drinks when the owners told us to ‘help ourselves.’ We were happy to pay twice what they were charging, yet they felt it was necessary to be rude and pompous. The environment is incredibly unprofessional.

Respectfully the young girls in our group felt objectified and it was just a really unfortunate and uncomfortable situation we will never patronize this establishment again. Maybe next time don’t have the male owner flirt with the young female patrons to get what he wants. Crazy we spent over $500 (with plenty of proof), and the owner is trying to say we stole something, which did NOT happen. Absolutely wild the owner will go to this length to try and get good reviews when they aren’t warranted.

Best service in Sugar Hill. Jeff and Jennifer are great hosts.
I witnessed some customers take advantage of the nice owners by pouring their own beer from a tap. Completely uncalled for.

Mr. Jeff and Mrs. Jenn host a great time, a couple stole drinks from the bar and left bad reviews, disregard that, this place holds high standards and has a great staff. Myself and all of my friends hang out here 3-4 times a week. Can’t find a better bar.

Mr. Jeff and Mrs. Jenn have the most incredible atmosphere. there was a couple of hooligans trying to cause a scene and they handled it like complete professionals. People tried to steal from them and they handled it so well. I will bring by future kids here. Tj is so cool, best bartender ever. Kylie made the whole night perfect. Great place. Great drink. Great time.
