This hot pot place is such a pleasant surprise! 🍲
The broth is rich and flavorful, especially the tomato base—it’s perfectly balanced between sweet and sour, and incredibly fresh-tasting. The meats are fresh and sliced just right, so they cook in seconds. The side dishes are also excellent, from tofu skin and lotus root to black fungus and fish paste. The fried tofu is crispy outside, soft inside, and amazing with the dipping sauce. The restaurant is clean, and the service is warm and friendly. Highly recommend for anyone who loves hot pot!

New management and so many improvements! They kept the price of $32 ayce, but now have an expanded menu including house made noodles and dumplings, more broth options, and free canned drinks! The produce is very fresh and the meat is high quality. I would recommend the hot and sour soup broth! I can’t stop thinking about it!! So delicious. Easily the best hot pot I’ve had in the area! The service has also improved! Keep in mind the restaurant is smaller than other hot pot places, so there was only one server, but she was very attentive and not over bearing. Love this place!!

Just ate here for the first time (4 of us - 3 adults and a middle schooler) and we all loved it even better than our usual go to. They just opened last month and the service was wonderful - Anina (I'm sorry I didn't ask how to spell it) was warm, friendly, patient, and attentive.
We got the divided broth option. Had bone broth & chili broth. Honestly the food was a 5 - great quality meat, fresh veggies (chrysanthemum leaves, bok choy, taro, sprouts, enoki mushrooms), and homemade fish & shrimp paste - my fave. They'll have chicken & pork too. Also had fresh noodles & homemade dumplings. The sauce station has great options. The only reason I gave it a 4 - or 4.5 - is because you can look forward to more. Anina told us about upcoming menus (lunch options) and expanded menu options.

I heard that Chuan Yu was under new ownership and wanted to try it out as they are close. I’ve traveled extensively in China and know good hot pot when I find it. The service and food was awesome! Could use a few more decorations.

I recently visited this hot pot restaurant and was so impressed! It’s so convenient—I no longer have to drive all the way to Duluth to enjoy authentic Sichuan hot pot. I especially loved the green peppercorn broth—it was rich, flavorful, and aromatic. The meat and vegetables were all very fresh, and the place was clean and well-kept. The owner was also incredibly warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely bring my friends here next time—finally found the perfect spot for hot pot!

We had a wonderful experience at this hotpot restaurant! The beef, lamb, and pork were all incredibly fresh, and the broth was expertly crafted by the chef—flavorful and rich.
