This was the first time I have been to Huskers Cafe. The experience was outstanding. A friend of mine took me there for my birthday and we had such a great time. The staff, especially KV, who is one of the managers, greeted us, checked to make sure everything was going well and just made us feel welcomed. The food was, hot, flavorful, and deilicious. We will definitely be going back again!

Huskers is the best. I love to support local and they make it easy with affordable prices, great service, and amazing food. Everyone there is so friendly and attentive and you can tell the food is made with love. I want to tell everyone I know about this hidden gem, but at the same time love that I hardly ever have to wait for a table.

Vegetarian options: Their menu is so customizable. Plenty of options . I am not sure about vegan if someone is strict because they cook meat/cheese/eggs and I imagine it's the same grills as it's a rather small kitchen.

Parking: Huge parking lot.

It was our first time eating at Husker and we would return again!! The food was good and well seasoned. Awesome atmosphere!! Short wait time.Special thanks to Paul, the manager, for helping make the experience a more delightful birthday celebration.

I can't speak for their lunch (haven't been yet) but their breakfast was excellent. The salmon and grits was very tasty and was perfectly done and seasoned. The chicken and waffles was good because the chicken was tender and the waffle, who doesn't like waffles ?Spacious and clean inside with plenty of parking spaces, makes it easy to travel to and enjoy. I did get there early so I can't speak to how busy they get but the food came out fresh and quick, no complaints!!If you're looking for something different than usual, check out this Huskers location!!

What a great experience! Our server, Darnell, was wonderful! We felt better than before arriving just talking with Darnell. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable of all the menu items, and just a great personality! The food was finger licken good! Seasoned perfectly and the presentation was five star quality! I can’t say enough about the great service and food. The owner even talked with us. We will definitely be back!

I usually don’t eat out due to poor quality in food and customer service, but this place definitively excels at both. Darnell provided the BEST customer service I’ve had in a while and he alone made the experience great. Their chicken is actually seasoned (which is rare in restaurants), the syrup was warm and Darnell even made me wanna come back to try one their bowls. I definitely recommend this fine establishment!

I wanted to like this place. I was hesitant to go beyond the mixed reviews. There was only one server and she was nice, but very disorganized. We waited for over an hour for our food (it wasn’t crowded). No refills offered for our coffee. We think the server lost our order because she hand wrote it. We were served someone else’s food. When we stated it wasn’t ours, she took the order again. The food came out at different times and the first person finished their food before the last person’s food arrived. The food was okay, nothing special, but not horrible. It was all different temperatures. The pecan waffle had no pecans, but the syrup was warm. We won’t be back, but maybe you can catch them on a better day.

Go here. We've been waiting to try this place, very glad we finally did. We each had the Buttermilk Breakfast. Between us that was Pancakes, Waffle, Bacon, Sausage, Grits, Hash browns & Eggs. We really enjoyed the food. There is a pretty good menu. We were greeted walking in, we found a place to sit. The coffee was good, better than most restaurants. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Now that we have found it we will be back.

Parking: Shopping center parking lot.

I wasn’t even going to write a review about the “gumbo” because I said my piece on Doordash. But then I open my “pecan waffle.” I feel disrespected. The “gumbo” grits was literally gravy and shrimp. Then I open my “pecan” waffle (see picture) and my disappointment turned into disgust. It was a pinch of pecans sprinkled ON TOP of a dry waffle. Didn’t even pack butter or syrup to at least help with how dry this waffle was let alone the absence of pecans in the waffle. Waffle House can even get a pecan waffle right, never ordering again.

Stopped for breakfast. First visit. Found it hard to decide what to get as so many things looked good. Eggs, pancakes, omelets, grits and more. I chose the chicken and waffle and I ordered a side of creamy grits. The chickens was breaded and fried. Tender, juicy and flavorful. The waffle was good sized. They bring syrup in a bottle with a spout like you find on an olive oil cruete. The syrup was warm as the entire bottle had been warmed. The side of grits came in a large bowl. The grits had great flavor and texture and I really enjoyed them. I will definitely return. There are so many other things I want to try, such as their shrimp and grits or jambalaya grits, maybe their pancakes or a breakfast biscuit. Big portions of good food for a reasonable price. My server was also very good. Friendly and attentive.

Wife and I went for brunch. Quaint little spot that is very homey, clean, minimalist, and tasteful.Plenty of seating when we arrived and you pick your spot. Our server was attentive and polite. Engaged in conversation and kept us informed.Wife had a "Build Your Own" veggie omelette which she says was absolutely scrumptious. She could tell the veggies were fresh and seared just the right amount to keep them crisp.I had the "Chicken and Waffles" which I enjoyed as well. I especially appreciated the option for grilled or fried chicken. I chose the latter and the boneless breast was absolutely delicious! An all time favorite dish of mine done right. What we ordered was was we got and the price was right.Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back to try other items on the menu.Highly recommend!

Vegetarian options: Veggie omelette is an option as are salads.

A diamond in the rough. So glad we found this hidden gem. Very clean, attentive friendly and professional staff.I ordered a veggie omelette with no cheese with toast. My husband has the chicken and waffles both did not disappoint. The veggie omelette veggies were very fresh and I love that I was able to customize it to my liking. Hubby enjoyed his chicken and waffles and liked that the chicken was boneless and was fried perfectly.Definitely homestyle cooking. I look forward to going back to try more menu items i had my eye on.Our waitress Anissa was such a pleasure, she was friendly, attentive and we had great conversation with her. She made the place very welcoming. The chef even came out and checked on us, it was nice to be able to give him a compliment. That was nice.Overall a great affordable place to dine. Go already!! Plenty of parking! Located in a shopping plaza.

Vegetarian options: I had a yummy 3 egg veggie omelette but there are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu.

Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly.

Parking: I'm in a walking boot so plenty of handicap parking spots.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, very open and spacious for wheelchair accessibility.

Dietary restrictions: I was able to customize my omelette so yes I'd say you can make personal requests , the chef is super friendly and accommodating.

Love the menu! Pretty decent prices, although I ordered a very small side of grits for my 9 month old and was charged a whopping $4 for a little halfway filled bowl. However, the other kids enjoyed their meals - complimented the chicken biscuits, chicken n waffles, and french toast. Pancakes were flavorful. I think for a $16 bowl of gumbo grits, we expected it to be at least over halfway full. Very little toppings: 5 pieces of shrimp, not even as many slices of kielbasa, and hardly any peppers/onions etc. For as well as the course is presented on the menu it was very displeasing! A bite I took had a nice piece of a shrimp tail in it, which I was not expecting, nor was I expecting to have to take the tails off myself. Service was good, made us feel right at home. The only thing I can suggest is if you can keep my husband's drink refilled, then that's automatically an increase in the tip and he waited twice for a refill.

So so so good! I definitely recommend coming here. I got the Gumbo grits with a side of eggs and my friend got the chicken and waffle and everything was absolutely amazing. Elizabeth provided great service and was very friendly!
