Treat yourself to something sweet at It's a Sweet Life! I noticed the small shop after a visit to Playa Bowls down the street and stopped in for a sweet treat. Dog friendly! Love that I can just pop in with my pup to pick up desserts to go. They also sell pupcakes of you're so inclined. I decided on a red velvet jar cake which amounted to the equivalent of a big slice of cake. The cake was quite sweet but was everything a moist red velvet cake should be. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a sweet treat to bring home to the fam or plan on indulging on by yourself!

Very surprised to pick up a cake that is not covered and was told they have no boxes big enough to take a cake out of store that is covered. This was not a small normal size birthday cake. Had to stop at a party store down road to buy a bigger cake box so cake did not dry out in car. Considering the price and ordering week in advance, disappointed in service.

COOKIES: they’re beautiful but remind me a lot of Cheryl’s Cookies you can easily buy online. Very very dry. Very basic. At $5 a cookie, they REALLY need to work on their recipe. They have the appearance down. Now let’s get that recipe re-written and keep them fresh! Stale dry cookies sold at $5 each, and I bought a dozen. What a waste. No one would eat or take home any after tasting them. How embarrassing.

Cookies are beautiful but tastes very very dry and basic. They weren't horrible, but you can't expect people to want a cookie just because it's pretty. You may sell them once but people will not return if the flavor is this basic and dry. Redo your recipe and keep these cookies fresh. At $5 a cookie they should taste like a gem!

All the kids and parents loved it!! I thought pricing was more than reasonable personally. I spent about $400 (with tip)for the cake and cookies!
Came in to buy a dessert in 98°F weather, ask to sit on a chair inside the store to avoid the heat, and an extremely rude lady in glasses says that it’s reserved for consultations—refusing to let me sit there, even for a few minutes while waiting for my ride. Just smiles patronizingly and heads away to the back room. There were no other customers in the entire store, much less someone to come in for a consultation. The mediocre desserts are not worth how poorly this place treats customers. Don’t ever come to this location.

Very untrustworthy. We placed an order for a cake and confirmed that they can make it for the date we wanted. The day comes and they don’t have a cake for us. Very very disappointed and quite honestly ruined our event because this cake was the highlight of our event.Not to mention they had moldy treats that I almost fed my dog. I let that slide because those were stored for a bit but I knew the cake order wouldn’t go wrong because they freshly make the cake to order!!!! What a disappointment!!! Never again!

If you are looking for the absolute best wedding cake of your life, It's a Sweet Life bakery is a MUST. We met with Amanda to do a tasting and instantly knew we had found the right place. The flavor combinations were so delicious that we went with 4 different flavor combinations (1 for each tier of the cake). Lastly, we had discussed with Amanda that we didn't want a boring white cake and she absolutely blew us away with the detail on the cake. She did individual flowers with icing the whole way up the cake and they perfectly matched our floral wedding theme. I cried when I saw it delivered into the venue. All of our guests raved about the cake all night long and I would recommend them to anyone looking!
