I was raised in sylvania but live in savannah and visited my mom. She told me about this place so we visited. I really enjoyed it and I know my wife will love it based on her taste. Next time I will bring her for sure! I hope you guys will have hats in stock so I can pick one up

Recent visit and my son's and I were pleasantly surprised. They had BBQ plates and I had the chicken tenders. Fair price, hot and delicious!

You had better be hungry!!!! They do not hold back on the portion size! BBQ, burgers, ribs and more, 1023 Grill serves up delicious, country boy sized meals from a good ol' American stick-to-the-ribs menu. I ordered a full rib platter - and had plenty for two more meals! The staff is friendly, helpful and the service on par. Stop on in especially of you like generous portions - you won't be disappointed!

Literally, most every single piece of lettuce in my chicken tender salad was rotting. It's as if they tried to cover up a plate of rotten lettuce with old toppings. I'm disappointed. I had to pick through my salad the entire time. It was $13, also. My boyfriend said the ribs were cooked good, just under seasoned, they were$18. We may give them another visit after a while. I know they recently opened up. The baked beans were the best part of our meal. The mac and cheese is "different".
We were passing through Sylvania and wanted to have dinner. We love trying new restaurants and found this place on Google. The food was good and the environment was amazing. We really enjoyed having the hand dipped ice cream and fresh coffee after dinner while sitting in the rocking chairs out front. We would drive from Rincon to eat here again.

So glad we FINALLY got to try 1023 Grill!I am very picky about my steak, to the point that I usually will not order one at a restaurant because I can cook it better at home. But, I heard that the steaks here were great, so I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The steak was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked (for me, medium rare). My wife also ordered a steak, and it was fantastic as well. My son ordered the half rack of ribs, and they were outstanding. The green beans were nicely seasoned. The baked potato was perfectly cooked and delicious.We received A+ service as well. We will definitely be back!

We finally decided to try the 1023 Grill, the place was almost empty except for the many staff members, but it was later in the evening. Being in the business many years ago I like to say the restaurant was extremely clean, from the table to the floor, We didn't get to see the kitchen but will assume it was also clean and it did look organized from afar. The place was decorated nicely and the waitress was friendly and on her game.From what I read they have a chef on duty so I guess I would address these concerns to him since he's the man in charge of the kitchen. The two specialty burgers that we ordered (for $13 each) were less than expected, the were quite small, warm at best and the the buns were cold, not quite what you would expect from a near empty place. The french fries were good, but could have been more of them, the coleslaw was good, and the mac-n-cheese seemed a bit overdone where the noodles were a bit mushy. I'm not sure why the food was not HOT becasue only 2-other to-go dinners came out before our "dine-In". Chef-you'll need to address this asap.The owners where there, and I was a little surprised that they didn't come by the table/s and welcome us and do a little goodwill customer service, they have a lovely place and should be proud to show it off.Sylvania lacks good places to eat, this is the perfect time to sit down with your team and reevaluate each dish, side and service, to see what you can do to make it a better experience for your dinning guests. We will come back, and I hope that you take my constructive commentary to heart and make your guests feel a little more welcome and most of all feel that they just had the best burger in town.

I really didn't want to give 3 stars for this place. I was excited to see that a new restaurant was opening up in sylvania. I ordered the chicken it was good but the sides I ordered was not great. I also got the pulled pork it was extremely DRY! Very disappointing.

Went to opening night and had a good time. Interesting concept. Order at the counter, pick your steak (if you order one), wait to be seated. We ordered two steaks, two kids meals and some sides. Only issues I had were one of the steaks were undercooked severely and they charged for water. Other than that, everything was fine.
