El Metate is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! The moment you walk in, they treat you like family. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the food is absolutely phenomenal!! I 100% recommend El Metate to anyone looking for amazing Mexican food and great service!
Do yourself a huge favor and go to Sylvester look for the large orange building and enjoy. This was the first time we have tried El Metate and let me tell you that this is well worth a 30, 60, to a 90 minute drive. Their restaurant is clean, service is very fast and super friendly, the food presentation was awesome and so delicious. As a Texan, I'm used to good mexican food. This was a bit under par. The yellow rice was a day or so old, and the asada in my tacos were very chewy, probably day or so old. The only fresh part was the cilantro and onions on top of my tacos. The beans were ok. Being in the middle of Ga, I'm sure this is a delicious option for yhe locals when fresh..
