My husband and I just ate at St. James Restaurant! And I must say that the food here is excellent!! This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Thomasville!! The food is delicious, and not to mention their bread pudding!! The overall ambiance is very inviting!

We’ve had great food and service both times we’ve come up from Tallahassee, but this second time was especially great. Our server Kelly was knowledgeable, funny and had great service timing. The food and cocktails are both outstanding—try the blue crab cakes with sweet corn maque choux, the Szechuan shrimp with perfectly cooked Chinese veggies, or (MASSIVE) chopped salad with apples, Asher bleu cheese and walnuts, and pair with a pineapple jalapeño margarita or cranberry gin gimlet. You can’t miss at St. James!

I love a lot about this restaurant, oysters, pizza options, very good burger, and other choices. Last night had surf and turf and wife had pasta. Both were served warm at best. They need to serve quicker while hot or invest in heat lamps to keep food hot till server can take to table.

Easily the best restaurant in Southern Georgia. Highly recommend this to anyone living, traveling in the area. Brunch or dinner are fantastic. We lived in Thomasville for a little while and live now an hour north and you are not going to find anything with the quality that St James has. Will be back again soon! Make sure you make reservations in advance!

Don’t waste your time eating here. We didn’t have a reservation as we were in town visiting and wasn’t aware we needed one. Sat outside as that’s all that was available. After 10-15min I went in to use the restroom and the hostess saw me and says omg I forgot to get you a server. We hadn’t received menus or drinks, and no high chairs for kids. I had to go back in and ask for an oyster menu. Then she decided lights outside would be helpful since it was after dark and none of the lights would stay on so we dined in the dark. Our server continued to forget us during the night. My 5 yr old asked for water and was forgotten about. The food was mediocre, warm not hot and small portions. We were then charged large party gratuity after all of it when they definitely didn’t deserve a tip after all the forgetfulness. I emailed the establishment immediately upon leaving. We arrived at 7:45ish and didn’t leave until 9:30pm. I still have not heard anything from this establishment for even an apology nor has any member of the party. Totally unacceptable.

Me, my wife and her godmother visited this place, and her godmother, who adored the restaurant, wanted us to experience its culinary magic. We all shared a variety of dishes, and every single one was an exceptional 9 out of 10.
Let me highlight some of our favorites:
- Pancakes: These were the best pancakes I’ve ever had. - Korean Wings: They were on the larger side, which I usually don’t like, but these were incredibly delicious. - Pizza: The pizza was so good that they could easily open their own pizzeria. - Oysters: They had a great variety of oysters, and they came with different toppings. You’re sure to find your favorite combination. - Sticky Ribs: The ribs were nice and tender. - Hamburger: The meat quality was good, but I can’t recall any specific details about the burger. It was great too though. - Fries (bangin’)

This restaurant was fabulous they were able to accommodate our party of 7 the day of (by reservation, of course). Thanks, Jordan! The food was amazing, and our waiter Kelly was an absolute angel she had an amazing personality and really made our 1st time experience here, one to remember! Thanks, Kelly. If I had to recommend a small plate, I would have to say go for the sticky ribs. 10/10 would highly recommend again and again! As for the large plate, the porkchop with bacon jam is also 10/10! You won't be disappointed.
