On 3-14-26, I ordered a combination dinner: Ribs, Sausage and Brisket with Mac and cheese and greens. The customer service and the atmosphere was great but the food was very bland.
The sausage tasted store bought and boiled. In fact, The taste of the sausage reminds me of the same sausages I grew up on that my mom always buys. Nothing special there
The ribs and brisket were dry and bland; No seasonings or any kind of flavor, Nothing was marinated overnight. It was smoked right out the package
The Mac and cheese looked good to my eyes but not to my taste buds. The Mac and cheese lacked the simplest of seasonings such as salt and pepper. I can even taste a hint of boiled water from the pasta.
I was so disappointed with the lack of pride and flavor with everything else that I knew the greens wouldn’t be any better once I’ve gotten to it and I wasn’t wrong.
The 5 sauces I tried out was also disappointing. It was very heavy on the vinegar.
Speaking of sauces, I used Sonny’s sweet bbq sauce and it made it somewhat better but if the meat is seasoned and marinated right, I shouldn’t need to go home and add anything.
Although people hyped up this restaurant when it first came into town, As a first timer and $32 spent, I will not be a repeat customer.

I couldn't make up my mind, so I went for the 3 meat platter with beans and glazed brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were amazing. Not too sweet with just the right amount of glaze. The baked beans were delicious, they did have small pieces of green pepper in it which added to the flavor. Now the meat, I had the ribs, pulled pork and brisket. The brisket was my favorite, it was generous slices of brisket done just right. You didn't even need sauce, they were perfect without it. The pulled pork was very good. It had great flavor and was not greasy at all. Meaning it was a higher quality cut of meat. The ribs where cooked just right and fell off the bone. So if you are passing thru Thomasville and you are craving good barbecue. Stop at the Woodstack conveniently located on the southwest corner of route 84 and US-19. Your tummy will thankyou ☺️

Stopped in for a quick bite, ordered a Fried Chicken Sandwich special that had pimento cheese, ranch, and pickled onions on texas toast. It was SO DANG GOOD. It was huge, the breading was soo crispy, and now I know I need to go back and try more of the menu! Great service, barchairs were very comfortable, establishment was very clean and open. Do yourself a favor and get there early for dinner!

The barbeque is very good as well as the sides but what blew me a way about this place is their fried shrimp! It's probably some of the best fried shrimp in the area. I wish they made hushpuppies for both the barbeque & shrimp.
This place could be great. Seating not comfortable. Need lots of booths and more ergonomic chairs. Staff very good and responsive. Lots of things are way too salty ....not only unhealthy, but also renders food untasty. Food can be inconsistent. Suggest trying a good recipe for NC barbecue. A nice multiple type bean soup would be great. More veggies without too much salt! It's good to see someone is trying to make a go of this place. If you try some of these suggestions it could help. I wish them well.

Ordered pulled pork. It was cold. The corn bread is some weird chef inspired creation that was horrible. Had the consistency of a old brownie. I will not be returning. The other bbq restaurants in town are better.

As a fried green tomato & pimento cheese snob, the FGT App is a must have! Best pimento cheese I’ve ever had. Mac n cheese was decent, sweet potato fries were alright, but the best part was the service. Our server, Jordy P, was amazing! He brought over our drinks then 10 mins later brought fresh ones because the CO2 had gone out and he thought ours may have been flat. They weren’t, but he brought new ones anyways to be on the safe side. As a former server, I appreciate that level of attentiveness! Despite being busy (Sunday lunch rush) he was on top of his game and as sweet as can be. Thank you Jordy for a great experience and the appetizer recommendation!!

Not even halfway through our meal the server brings us our check and says pay here at the table, felt like we were being rushed out. Needless to say we won't be back
