None of my food was served hot. Room temp or sort of warm. I wonder how safe the food is. Even if the food was hot, it was inedible. Easily the worst country cooking I’ve ever had.

Country cooking at it's best.

I recently had lunch at Northside Cafe in Tifton, GA, and it turned out to be the answer to my long search for quality country cooking. I ordered the hamburger steak with onions and gravy, paired with greens and green beans, and every bite was delicious. The meal was flavorful and satisfying, exactly the kind of hearty, well-made food I’d been hoping to find. After this experience, I can confidently say my hunt is over—Northside Cafe is now my spot.

They offer a drive-thru for call-ahead orders, which I didn’t know about beforehand and didn’t use this time. I just pulled up, placed my order on the spot, and was impressed by how quickly they prepared it. The service was efficient, and I didn’t have to wait long at all to get my food.

The hamburger steak was tender and smothered in a rich gravy with perfectly cooked onions, while the greens and green beans were fresh and seasoned just right. It all came together as a meal that hit every mark for what I consider great country cooking. Knowing now that they have a call-ahead option, it’s even better—it’ll make future visits that much more convenient for my schedule.

Northside Cafe has earned five stars from me for its tasty food, fast service, and welcoming vibe. I’m thrilled to have found a place in Tifton that delivers on everything I’ve been looking for. I’ll definitely be back.

My first time going for lunch and I got a pork chop , Mac and cheese , Lima beans and cornbread fritters and I was extremely disappointed. Everything was bland , the pork chop was extremely tough couldn’t chew and the bread was really over fried and hard , i didn’t get to eat but one bite of each so I’m really disappointed and after paying 13.95 I’m still hungry. They seem to stay busy so maybe i just came on an off day .

Very friendly local place with good food at low prices. No frills, Styrofoam cups for coffee.

One of the pleasures of travel, is experiencing little local eateries, like this one. After a long night drive, and before our lodging could prepare a room for an early check-in; we scanned TA, and found this little gem. If one catches the tongue-in-cheek drift of the last TA review; this is not an upscale, pretentious establishment. Rather, it's a comfortable, no-frills, operation; providing a great breakfast/brunch option. Our server was friendly and accommodating; providing us with paper towel napkins, disposable plastic utensils and paper plates. Between us; we had eggs, home fries, grits, biscuits & gravy, and the really tasty fresh link sausage. Everything was old-school, truck-stop great (which we consider high praise). For the last several years, we've stopped overnight in Tifton; on our way to Orlando. From this point forward; this will be our go-to spot for brunch. Great food, at reasonable prices; that's an option worth repeating.

We had a delicious and classic Southern breakfast at a surprisingly affordable price. It's a bit off of the beaten path, but well worth it!
