Great experience at Altmans for lunch today. Staff went above and beyond. Delicious buffet, best chicken!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ True Southern cooking with the sweetest, friendliest staff. Plenty of good options even if a buffet isn’t your thing. A great stop right off I-95.

Wonderful restaurant with pleasant staff. The food was wonderful! Best chicken livers I have had in a long time! We will be volunteering at Sapelo Island, and will make the ferry trip to have lunch at Altmans as often as possible! Prices are great!

Stopped here this morning for some real food. Probably the best breakfast sandwiches ever (the waffle sandwich was to die for) and very quick service to get us back on the road to NC. Highly recommend

This is such a cute place! We stop here when we visit Pine Harbor Animal Hospital. The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly and seem so happy.

Tried to order a to go breakfast a few minutes before 10am. Got told breakfast was cut off. Everything online and on menus say breakfast ends at 10. I guess breakfast really ends somewhere around 9:50.

We came in between the lunch rush and dinner, around 3:30, and while the service was a little forgetful at the time (had to ask twice for a couple of things), everything was delicious! And great prices too. I had the fried flounder sandwich, fish was so fresh and tender, and my mom had the fried shrimp app. They said the shrimp are local Georgia shrimp and they tasted like it, super big and juicy, and fried perfectly! Better value is definitely the shrimp basket but she didn’t want the fries. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, was a great experience, definitely will be back!

Right off I-95 small town cozy vibe, friendly service , made you feel like a local. Down home cooked food . Fried chicken was out of this world!
Had lunch buffet selection was amazing !
Food was fresh and the staff were smiling and knew all the locals by name . Will definitely be back .if you get a chance to stop by and eat you won’t be disappointed ‘

What a gem of a find. Just a few miles off 95 and well worth the trip. The individuals who worked there were amazing, polite, friendly, helpful and informed. The cheeseburger was so big I could.barely finish it.

1st time food was great and fresh (seafood).
Slow time of day and slow service (took food a really long time to come out).
Environment ok. Catered to mostly locals.
2nd time food was awful (again, seafood).
Same time of day and slow service.
Environment loud (servers, not customers).
Mostly locals.
Won't go back when we pass through again.
