Such a nice friendly place. Love it when you are welcomed with such smiling faces. The buffet looked awesome and appeared to be a favorite for the locals. We had a very flavorful and juicy burger. We would definitely return when we pass thru again.

I happen to come across this restaurant while working in the area. I had never been in the area before but notice right away the semi trucks that were stopped off the side of the road to be able to grab food from here. And the parking lot of full of cars, local and out of town. The restaurant is just off I95. Once going inside you are greeted with the amazing smell of home cooked food, friendly wait staff and a homey feel. They offer food from the menu or a lunch buffet which is what I got. The food was all seasoned perfectly. There was a salad bar section too. I would absolutely recommend the fried chicken. It was fried to perfection and just as juicy inside. I actually got a to go box to bring some of that homemade cooking back to my parents who do not drive. They both enjoyed it just as much as I did. I would suggested stopping if you are traveling in the area. Stop and enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal. And the prices were great too. I can not wait to go back.

On the way back from Florida, we decided to stop and buy some shrimp to take home. My Brother in law had gotten shrimp at Shell Creek before and it was lunch time so we decided to eat at this resturant. I ordered the fried shrimp basket based on recommendations and he got the Philly Cheese steak sandwich and we both got the battered fries. His sandwich was huge and he said it was very good. My fried shrimp was either very over cooked or had been under a heat lamp a long time. Not good at all and could not fimish it. Having recently eaten some phenomenal fried shrimp in Florida, I was very disappointed. We got there after 1pm and it took quite a while for out food to come out and there were nit many other customers there. I like to stop at local hole in the wall type places but won't be back here.

Miss the old Altman's ?. Always the place to go for good country food/or seafood, prices were affordable. They were known for good food at reasonable prices. Not so much anymore. Not your family country restaurant anymore. More like the local seafood restaurants in the area without the waterfront view.

Wonderful family restaurant with a yummy buffet. Not a fancy place, just good food with friendly, competent staff. The salad bar was fantastic with lots of veggies and toppings. The buffet had several meat choices but I wish they could add an additional hot vegetable. I’ll be back!
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies on the salad bar but only 2-3 on the hot buffet. Didn’t notice what other veggies are on the menu as I had the buffet.
