I wanted to support this local restaurant and ordered from their new food truck. I specifically asked for no pork, but my order came with ham. When I brought it back, instead of remaking it they just removed the ham and tried to serve me the same food. After I explained why it needed to be remade, the worker reluctantly and angrily made another one. At that point I did not even feel comfortable eating it. Very unprofessional and disappointing. Any other restaurant would have corrected their mistake without issue.

The food is very good so why deny it but the customer service is terrible, they are very unpleasant, they serve you as if they are forcing you 😪 I won't be coming back again, they have to know how to deal because they are going to be left without customers

Chamoys Restaurant offers an extensive menu and very good Dominican cuisine. They have the best cook in this culture. But the attention of the ladies who serve is terrible if they don't know you. Before you could have lunch for 7 dollars, now you think you are going to pay a certain amount and when you go to the checkout they nail you. I don't know if it would occur to you to order more than 1 protein or a single protein dish. The cashier at the place is the owner's wife and is always increasing the value of what you really owe. You leave feeling cheated, although with a full belly and good Dominican flavor, but visiting it once every 6 months is worth it.
I don't know if it would occur to you to order chicharrón only because it is very expensive.
The atmosphere is nice but if you are not among their acquaintances you will feel strange. If you ask for a menu At the table they sometimes take a while to serve you or forget what you ordered.
I visit this place only because of the cook who knows how to give it his personal touch.
For everything else it would not be worth it, only for its seasoning it is worth it. If you order at home you will avoid bad service.
