I’m a long-time customer and usually order the Better Butter Cake. On Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 7:04 pm—right after closing—I purchased the Lemon Pound Cake because my usual item was unavailable. When I got home and tried it, it was freezing cold, extremely sour and unusually wet—so much so that it tasted like straight lemon juice, and liquid could be squeezed from the crumb. I called the following day to report this, but I was told it couldn’t be exchanged because I had taken a bite, and that the menu notes it comes “juicy.” In all honesty, I literally broke and piece off and spit it out because it was so DISGUSTING!!!! I understand texture can vary, but this seemed off and not consistent with a typical lemon pound cake and I’ve had my share of pound cakes but never like this!!! I was disappointed with the response and the refusal to exchange or offer store credit. I mean I expected a replacement like most restaurants provide when a meal disappoints, but they CHOSE NOT TO MAKE IT RIGHT!
If you’re looking for good cakes, try Southern Sweets Bakery in Scottsdale or Blue Rooster in Lawrenceville—they’ll get you right every time.

This place is obviously more of a to go kind of place but they are incredibly delicious. My favorite here are the German chocolate cake and the buttercream but I’m pretty sure I have tried like 75% of the flavors and they are outstanding.
We had the caramel, tropical and German chocolate, in order of goodness 😁 The caramel one was perfect, the tropical could use a bit more (thicker) frosting on the inside layer and the German chocolate wasn’t all that chocolate-y. The cakes were very soft and moist. I personally like my cakes with more layers on the inside instead of only on the top. The drive thru was very convenient.

It's a drive thru. The best sliced cakes in the ATL. German chocolate is on point, for real. The owner is cool as a fan. You have to drive to Tucker to get some, but overall, the cakes are for real, tho!
