The staff was so nice. It was my birthday and I was in Georgia on a business trip. I just happened to see chocolates. I mean they have the best cakes in the world. Better than my mom's cake.

This place is obviously more of a to go kind of place but they are incredibly delicious. My favorite here are the German chocolate cake and the buttercream but I’m pretty sure I have tried like
75% of the flavors and they are outstanding.

We had the caramel, tropical and German chocolate, in order of goodness 😁
The caramel one was perfect, the tropical could use a bit more (thicker) frosting on the inside layer and the German chocolate wasn’t all that chocolate-y. The cakes were very soft and moist. I personally like my cakes with more layers on the inside instead of only on the top.
The drive thru was very convenient.

It's a drive thru. The best sliced cakes in the ATL. German chocolate is on point, for real. The owner is cool as a fan. You have to drive to Tucker to get some, but overall, the cakes are for real, tho!

I am a truck driver from Jacksonville FL. I was getting food from Captain D's in Tucker GA and happened to see Coco Cakes across the strip mall. I wanted something sweet and decided to stop by. The front door of the store was locked so I knocked. As I was walking off the owner and another girl opened the door. I explained to the lady that I was driving a tractor trailer and of course couldn't use the drive through. It was 33 degrees outside and the owner WOULD NOT LET ME IN THE STORE. She still made me stand in the drive through and order the cake in 30 degree weather. I thought that was a HORRIBLE way to treat a customer. I understand it was getting dark but you cannot treat paying customers like that if you plan to stay in business. So many black owned businesses go out of business because of poor quality, price gouging, and horrible customer service. I bought 2 slices of cake and was charged $17.00 which is outrageous. Had this establishment given me better customer service and a reasonable price, I would have bragged on their business all the way back to Jacksonville. My companies drop lot is about 4 blocks from Coco Cakes and I would have gladly told the parked drivers about this business. At this point I will NEVER go back. So many African Americans want to be entrepreneurs, but have NO CLUE how to grow a business. YOU GROW A BUSINESS WITH GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, PERIOD AND PRICES. The cake wasn't worth me standing out in the cold to order it and wait for the order. I left that business wondering if I was a white guy, would those 🥷 have let me in. No one treats black folks worse than black folks 👀.

I cannot say enough good things about CocoCakes by Coco! I was invited to their 9th anniversary celebration last weekend & although it had been a minute since I’ve been there, it was still as I remembered! Each cake is outstanding, the buttery caramel cake is right up there with Rhodes bakery! I grew up in Atlanta and trust me, Rhodes bakery was the place to go for caramel cake.
The atmosphere was above and beyond wonderful! Coco and Nicole greeted every customer while I was there And clearly, most who walked in while I was there, were repeat customers; those who weren’t, will be because they have done such a great job at offering the best cakes around! The chunks are perfect so, as usual, I bought a few. Aside from the buttery caramel cake, which I mentioned is the best in the city of Atlanta, I also got a chunk of their Island, coconut cream cake. It was amazing and every bit as good as the one that Rich’s downtown used to serve when I was growing up!!
