Man y’all gotta be better with the service and your employees attitudes very rude & unprofessional for the prices you all charged to be treated with poor service. Not just that the food used to be ok, but now you all are robbing ppl for the quality of food and portions you all give out. The gravy never taste like gravy very watered down no flavor AT ALL, the turkey wings are never fully cooked to fall off the bone. The greens smh 🤦🏾‍♂️ I don’t know where to start, the Mac & cheese looks good but either is burnt or has no real cheese flavor or dry. The baked chicken be either over cooked and dry or under cooked and mushy. If y’all need some help just say that, I ain’t trying to be a hater but could very well be some help to give you all some real flavor and taste 💪🏾💯

My grandmother has been wanting to go for like 2 years. I finally was able to take her for her birthday and the food and the trip was worth it! Food portions were large, owner was nice, and we were all satisfied. Will definitely make a trip back.

Food is good. I especially like their mac and cheese and greens. Hands down they have the best whiting fish on this side of Georgia.

Parking: Plenty of free parking, that's it that's all.

Excellent soul food. The sweet potato soufflé is particularly notable as being exceptional. The collard greens are also good, though they are the style that is somewhat sweet, which is not everyone's preference, though it is certainly the preferred way for a great many people. Highly recommended.

Great home cooking at a reasonable price, convenient on our trip to Stone Mountain. Really it was Jimmy that made it A+. He talked to us first through the drive-in-speaker when I asked if breakfast was still being served at 11:30 AM on weekend. Jimmy let us know which breakfast items were available and encouraged us to come inside to eat. Plenty of customers inside, keeps the buffet food turning-over, fresh. Jimmy briefly visits with patrons in the dining room, makes for good PR. Yes, good people and good eating at Collard Green Cafe. We will return.

The newest version of Collard Green Cafe continues the tradition of southern soul food with modern twists. Their motto, "You won't find a can opener in our kitchen," shows their focus on using fresh, high-quality ingredients and ensuring authentic seasoning. Industry veteran and owner James Paige has been feeding Atlantans since 1998, from Toco Hills to Shallowford Road to Hugh Howell Road (Tucker).

Collard Green Cafe moved to Mountain Industrial Blvd. in 2024. The restaurant is located in the complex with Stars and Stripes and the DeKalb County School District administrative offices and is convenient to Highway 78.

There is ample seating, and the restaurant has always been clean when I have visited. Customer service is solid for a cafeteria/fast casual eatery.

Food is served cafeteria style, with fish and certain proteins cooked to order. Pasta dishes & seafood platters come with 1 side. All the other entrees come with 2 sides.

Lunch is available daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is a very good value, as lunch entrees include a fountain beverage, and the main difference is the portion size of the protein.

I love their dark meat-baked chicken. The jus is incredibly flavorful, and the meat is so soft that it falls off the bone. To fully appreciate the jus, I want to have mashed potatoes one day.

I can't stop ordering the cabbage and green beans as entree sides because both are well-prepared and seasoned. However, I keep eyeing the sweet potato souffle as a future side option.

Meals come with cornbread, which tends towards the softer, sweeter side.

The ribs and oxtails are also pretty solid; however, I did not care for the smothered turkey wing.

The pound cake was also good, and I'm constantly eyeing their peach cobbler and sweet potato pie.

I ordered my Thanksgiving meal. I, in an effort to give everybody a break this holiday season, ordered my Thanksgiving meal from CCG this year. I was hosting this year and had my family in town and just wanted everyone to enjoy the holiday and relax and not have to spend the day in the kitchen. I placed my order well in advance to ensure all was set.(think 2-3 months early)

To say I was disappointed is being overly kind in my description.
First I received a call a week prior, going over my entire order and at that time I received a pick-up time of 5pm on Wed (Nov. 27). I arrived on time, and it was very disorganized and chaotic the entire time. I finally got my order at 6pm, after different people asked me about my order, what I got, even though they had the paper with my order in hand. But it was a busy time and I understood and just waited my turn.
Next, upon getting my order home, I surveyed my order. It was entirely too chaotic at the restaurant to try and pull all my items out of the box and look into each pan. Upon looking through I noticed I had a pan of sweet potato casserole. When the young lady called me the week earlier we went over this several times, and my initial order was the same. I told at both times I only wanted regular sweet potatoes and not NUTS (I specified this, and she repeated it). I get home to a sweet potato casserole with NUTS all over. This was a no go.
The next item that was very disappointing was the peach cobbler. It literally was a pan of peach juice with a thick layer of uncooked crust on the top. There were about 10 peaches total in the whole pan. This, unfortunately, prompted my mother to try and doctor on it, which is what I absolutely was trying to avoid. It was doubly difficult because we had to wait until early Thanksgiving morning and go to the only store open with limited items in a mad rush. Not really an ideal way to spend the holiday and completely cancelled the relaxing intention of it.
The next item was the dressing. We placed it in the oven for a very considerable amount of time waiting for it to cook and bake through. It never firmed or set, it literally was just a pan of mush. There was never any consistency to it, it was just mushy. We would place it in the oven over again and it never firmed, and just looked like pudding more than any type of dressing. This once again had us on another run to the store (which was very rushed because the store closed early at 4) to which we were able to amass one box of stove top, due to shelves being very bare. The mushy dressing also had a very sweet taste. But needless to say that was once again another disappointment.
However, the biggest disappointment came in what should be the main item the Turkey. Once we finally though we were through and had finally gotten to our meal. We sit down, we pray, and cut into the turkey, only to find it bloody and red. I bought a fried turkey which I thought would be cooked through already, we just put it in the oven before dinner to warm it up. But we cut into it at the table after prayer and it was blood, it was not cooked all the way through whatsoever. No one was eating raw bird, so we stopped and cut the turkey up and put it back in the oven to try and cook it all the way through. Needless to say this also delayed our entire dinner because I refused to have anyone eat raw turkey.
I was excited to have my family in town and be the one to host Thanksgiving this year, but this experience truly dashed all my excitement and made this holiday beyond disheartening to say the very least. Especially with the money that was paid for this to be my experience is just dumbfounding. I am writing in hopes that you do better, so as not to ruin anyone else's holiday.

I sent an email to the restaurant directly on Dec. 2, and as of Dec. 31 I have received no reply from them.

Newbie here heard them on the radio and drove over on Sunday. Excellent from the time you walk in the door until the food hits your stomach. The young lady with all that big beautiful afro hair that was serving with thwas the bomb! I knew it was going to be serious business. She was very nice everyone was friendly.

I got turkey wings with rice and gravy, mac and cheese, and cabbage.

Those turkey wings were hitting, really good! My cabbages were delicious and the mac and cheese was okay missing the creamy side other than the mac Everything was delicious!!

Verdict: GULITY OF GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD! I will be definitely be back!!! The young lady at the register had me sign up for the rewards program that’s hitting too!
