Got a pick up order for tamales. They put chili and beans on top of them. They were not appetizing at all I had to throw it away. I wouldn’t come here for traditional Mexican food.

We have been coming here for a long while. The food is always great. The only thing I haven't found great was the style of chili relleno but that could just be a personal preference. The prices have come up a bit but they have everywhere else as well. The manager there always takes care of you and is definitely customer focused. If you ever have an issue, let him know. He won't let you leave unhappy.

Living walking distance for four years and the front sign did not attract me.Ordered delivery and was impressed.Had lunch today inside and was happy with the large clean area, good service and affordable tasty food.

Very good Mexican fare. This was actually my third time here and decided to try the Pollo Loco (chicken with chorizo), which was excellent ?. Only thing I would suggest is that they should think about serving it with pico de gallo (tortilla toppers!).Very tasty and filling. Will come back to try other dishes!

Another disappointment! El Matador is so close so we eat there every single week. Tonight was week number 3 that the order was wrong. At least it was just wrong food and not missing food. That happened last time and one of us didn't eat. This time, we were given the completely wrong order, but the receipt was correct. No salsa at all. I called to let them know and asked for a refund, which I hope goes through. the lady hung up on me. Maybe we will learn our lesson and find another Mexican restaurant.

Always a great place to meet or go with friends and family, even larger groups of around 12. Great to dine there, and great to take out and eat at home. Wide variety of Mexican foods on menu. We love the chips with salsa or queso and the salad in a round taco bowl. We love the shrimp soft tacos, shrimp & spinach quesadilla, chicken enchiladas, rice, & refried beans. Prices very reasonable, food consistently good, and staff reliably friendly and attentive. Just a great neighborhood place. I think they have live music on Friday nights. I've been coming here for 20+ years.

It's been a while since we visited El Matador, but the service was good. I called ahead to let them know we had a party of 13 coming and the set up a few tables for us. When we arrived, everything was ready and the manager came over and said "Thank you for calling ahead and letting us know you're coming." Ordering was a little hectic because half of our party didn't know what they wanted since they'd never been there before. However, the waitress remembered nearly everyone's orders and made sure to get everyone the correct dishes. Everyone enjoyed their food and the ambiance was perfect for this little dual-family get-together. I had the minichanga and split an order of chalupas with my sister and we all had the salsa, queso, and chips. We ordered the queso with the jalapeños, but it didn't taste spicy at all. The salsa was good. The air was heavy with the fragrance of fresh-made tortillas chips. They were nice and crunchy and hot. My minichanga was a shredded chicken and the chicken itself had really good flavor. My sisters was a ground beef and she said it was delicious. Unfortunately, the "chalupa" wasn't what I was hoping it was... I expected a thick tortilla that was curled up after being fried and I definitely did not expect it to be only beans, lettuce, and some guacamole. That shouldn't cost $10... Regardless, it was meh. I kinda blew it on my order today. I should have gone with fajitas or steak tacos or something like that. For 13 people, we spent about $340. Some meals were more expensive than others, but on average, it was about $26/person. Next time, I'm getting a margarita.
