We always love going there. It sits on the river with a relaxing atmosphere. I've never gotten anything that I didn't like.

I've never made a negative review until this one. Service was bad, steak was full of fat and very chewy. Salad appeared to come out of a bag. I had been wanting to try for some time but looks like it's a one and done for this family.

Everything was delicious, well worth the two hour drive. Steaks and fries were just as good as it was on our last visit 28 years ago! Already planning a return visit with family.

Family had never been here , but had heard it was a great place to eat. So we decided to celebrate my birthday at Benton Lee’s. After driving over an hour to get there we were all disappointed. Establishment was very outdated . Torn ragged booth seat covers with very sticky table tops. We all ordered steaks with different sides. Baked potatoes were cold and wrapped in foil that apparently was wrapped around potatoes just prior to being served.. My daughter in law ordered cheese on her potato . They stuffed a kraft single into the cold potato.. Salads came from a bag with maybe a pinch of shredded cheese on top served in a tiny styrofoam bowl and pre packaged salad dressing. Sour cream and butter were in pre packages. Butter was melted and not a good quality due to it contained a lot of water. Fries were plentiful and soggy. Steaks weren’t bad . Generic steak sauce tasted old , fermented , and soured. . Water and tea were self serve. Sodas were in a can and ice was self serve. Overly priced meal. We will not eat here again.

It was ok. I figured for the price we paid, there would have been real A1 and Heinz 57 on the table. Not the generic brands. The staff was friendly.

Horrible experience. Came here for mother in laws birthday and the food was cold. They gave us square cheese for a baked potato like it was mashed potatoes or something. Very dirty tables were so sticky. No AC in the bathroom. This place was just ew. Also super expensive for a hole in the wall place.

Could be a great place. Unfortunately they are really cheap with their food. For as much as you pay, you’d think they could afford to make a salad and not use old prepackaged lettuce and rolls. If you ever had greasy fries, it’s because they fry them, put them in a warmer, and when you order them, they fry them again to heat them up. Old greasy fries. The salads come straight out the bag on the paper plates. Rolls out the bag they don’t even warm them either butter… just really sad in general to see this place go to crap. It could be so much better if they took time and money to improve their food.

The food used to be really good, lots of food and awesome steaks. Unfortunately the last 2 times we came service was awful and the tables where sticky and the restaurant seemed run down in the inside. As a matter of fact we left the second time due to NO service and a nasty table

Face it! You didn’t drive down that long road for no ordinary steak. You came for the King Daddy of Flavor, Tenderness, and …. Marbled beef! I made sure to stop by and get my FIX even though it was not on my route! Leaving Baxley after a week of fixing hotel room phone jacks I was slap worn out. I was ready to get back to my own hometown, Milner GA. But…not until I got my RIBEYE! It was late, it was slow, it was quiet, it was perfect! I didn’t know I could refill my own tea!!! I loved my experience. Next time I’m arriving by boat! - Matt!, Solutions2 Low-Voltage.
