The Whale’s Tail is a family owned local restaurant serving fresh, well prepared seafood! The portions are large, the quality & freshness are excellent, & the service is good, & the prices are reasonable! All in all, The Whale’s Tail was a very enjoyable experience! I heartily recommend it!

They take care of the customers that call ahead but even when you call ahead you sometimes have to wait an hour. I can’t imagine that they will stay in business much longer.

I think they have the best Raisin Carrot Salad I've EVER had!!! What a treat my brother and his wife took us to when we were visiting Vidalia. Food is very fresh and well worth the wait (they were busy). I'm not a "fish person" so ordered the steak which was very good and perfectly cooked. Will go again on our next trip. My brother and his wife recently moved to Vidalia from Athens, GA.

I dined here several months back with a church group.. Excellent food. I took a little while to get the food once ordered. However, that's because it is all cooked fresh. Best meal I have had.. Highly recommend it.
