Can't speak for the experience, but they're closed even though it says open here on Google.

HEADS UP!!!!! This location is CLOSED due to building damage. Supposedly they are looking for a new location but in the mean time visit the Douglasville location 15 minutes up the street. We had to drive further but the food in Douglasville was delicious just like Villa Rica always was.

I can't say a bad thing about Gabes delicious food. Because it is SO good. I've only been twice though, and my Fiancé and I got food poisoning both times. We both ordered fish Entrees, but they didn't taste 'fishy'(if you know what I mean) so I'm not sure what the issue was. But if I'm being totally honest- I Don't CARE! For me it was worth it both times. The food is amazing, and this happened sometime between 2016-2018. The only weird complaint I have (other than that one) Was while I was waiting for my table, and bought a bottle of wine, I was drinking at the bar, the waittress grabbed it out of my hand and insisted(with a suspicious look) on carrying the 4 feet to my booth. I just found that odd. If that's a policy, I wish she would have explained it to me. Gabe's if you read this: Help me convince my betrothed to take me there again. My birthday was yesterday, I'm burying one of my best friends soon, and I beLIEVE-3rd times a charm.

Very good biscuits and gravy. They have different specials for lunch every day, which gives you a nice change. The waitresses are friendly. I have been here several times. I just wish they were open on the weekends.

Wow! Checked out the menu online and realized.....SO MUCH IS MISSING. And things that were our go-to favorites. NO corn and crab bisque in the bread bowl. NO pecan crusted catfish. NO crab cakes. Are ya kidding? But our daughter still wanted to have SOMETHING from there! Called to get carry out (still not Covid-comfy with indoor dining in a small cramped location). Was told that they wouldn't do carry out, by a less-than-friendly gal. That was the final straw. Won't be going any time soon and will be taking their menus out of our 2 AirBnb locations as a recommended place.

The shrimp and grits were soooooo good! My husband had the stuffed catfish. Everything was delicious!

Took the family to Gabe's this evening to celebrate my son being inducted to the National Honor Society. It seems that this place has slipped a bit in the food and ABSOLUTELY in the service. My crawfish stuffed catfish just seemed like slop on top of mashed sweet potatoes. My wife's salad had more dressing that greens. The po boy my son had, had slices of tomatoes on it that were 1/2-3/4" thick. If you are paying $16-25 a plate, my glass should be filled more often than it is empty. The delicious bread that we were promised did not come out until just before the entrees and even then it seemed like an after thought. If a server is going to have a septum piercing and half a head of green hair, they should at least have a personality. The couple that were sat at least 10-15 minutes after us, received their food a good 10 minutes before we did. Probably won't be back.

A little pricey, but SO worth it! The food was fantastic! The service was spot on. I can't find a single fault in my experience. Super creative takes on New Orleans flavors without sacrificing tradition. Peyton was our server and we didn't need to ask for anything...she was on top of it all. Everything I could want from a professionally run RESTAURANT...not a chain of pubs. Can not recommend enough!

The shrimp po-boy and the red beans and rice were both excellent. The ambiance is cute. Definitely recommend!

I absolutely love this restaurant! The owner and staff send out the most beautiful tasty dishes. I don't get here often any more since i live in NE NC but it is always a necessary stop when in town!

As usual the best food around!!! I'm on Keto and was able to choose from several options. The food is not only delicious but they give you so much you definitely never leave hungry. It's beautiful inside as well. I love taking people here from out of town.

We have been going to this restaurant for years and the service and food has always been 12/10. Great food, great drinks. However, the new management is incompatible with customers. Arguing with customers is unprofessional.Gabe’s has never charged us extra for sauces in the years we have been going until all the sudden they do. When you are charging a customer extra the professional and polite thing to do is to make them aware.I hate it but we absolutely will not be back. Very unfortunate considering this has been our date night for years.

First time here and it was a great experience. Shrimp Po-boy was delicious and a large portion. Cheese grits were the perfect side. White Rhino Pinot Grigio to wash it down was perfect!

I had the Maytag salad as an appetizer. Then Coriander Seared Salmon as the entree and added a side order of the cheese grits. 10/10 delicious!!! Great food, love the atmosphere, great service! I love having this gem in downtown Villa Rica. Who would imagine something this high quality and classy would be 15min from my house in rural Temple?! My husband and I love going here for date night or anytime we have family or friends in town for a special occasion. We usually get the Cajun egg rolls as well and they're phenomenal. I wish they were paying me to say this
