I was very excited to try Jammin Cafe, as i've heard good things from friends. Everything was well, large oxtail plate seemed a little expensive but it's a locally owned restaurant so i can understand the price. What i don't understand is why i spent $32 for a large oxtail plate and only got a sample size of oxtail. Had i gone to Golden Krust, i would've been able to get a plate with double the oxtail and a full serving of chicken for the same price. The pictures on facebook are grossly misrepresentative of the food that you'll receive from this restaurant. I'm extremely disappointed with my order and i would just suggest going to Golden Krust or somewhere else instead.
CONCEITED ESSENTIALS
I have no clue how this place has high ratings which is what prompted us to stop by as we passed by. As a Jamaican, the food was beyond disappointing. The curry chicken was dry. They use cheap parboiled rice for the rice and peas… couldn’t even taste the coconut milk. My son didn’t even finish his oxtail, said it need seasonin…2 simple dishes… as for the interior of the place… fix it up so it can be at least inviting for customers wishing to sit and eat. We don’t want to stare and a dirty and empty fish tank while we dine! Clean up the place! First and last time dining there, especially for the amount of money each meal costs… truly disappointing.

This food is great! Always fresh and super tasty. It's a small spot connected to a gas station (I was skeptical since I try to avoid restaurants attached to gas stations), but it's definitely worth a stop. The jerk chicken is our go to. The patties are okay, but not our favorite. We typically order to go and the food travels just fine. If you want seafood, call ahead as it takes more time to prepare.

Grabbed lunch and dipped. I’ve been wanting to try this spot for a while but had no idea what to order, so I got my bf to call in something for me and I picked it up on my lunch break. It was fire. ? I eat mostly vegetarian, so next time I’ll know better what to order, but I had cabbage and plantains and rice and chicken. The chicken was good, I could just do without it.

Tucked away next to a filling station, you'd never expect to find such authentic and flavorful Jamaican cuisine. The menu offers a wide range of options from Curry and Jerk chicken to braised goat and oxtails. Seafood lovers will enjoy the shrimp and snapper, while vegetarians have a few delicious choices as well. The sides are equally compelling—plantains, cabbage, rice & beans, and potatoes are all a must-try.However, there is room for improvement when it comes to poultry preparation. The chicken tends to have sharp, splintered bones, which detracts from the overall dining experience. While some might attribute this to cultural differences, it's worth noting that this isn't a common practice in rural Jamaica.Overall, a fantastic culinary gem in the ex-burbs of Carroll County that's well worth a visit. Just be cautious when enjoying the chicken dishes.

This is a go to place if you're looking for authentic Jamaican food. Not mommas but pretty close! Had the large jerk chicken plate and just about not able to eat it all. Flavor was what I expected. Looking forward to going back to try the curry goat and oxe tail.

This man can cook!!! Best AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN food I’ve had in Georgia.
Everything here is delicious. This is not Americanized Jamaican food. This is the real deal. Stop in here as often as I can. Sometimes it's just to get a couple beef patties and a ginger soda. Sometimes it's for their wings or jerk chicken. The goat is delicious as well. The owners and their children are all very friendly. Highly highly recommend trying it out.
The best jamaican food in town! I've never been to Jamaica, but this restaurant gives off a jamaican vibe that makes me want my next vacation to be in Jamaica!
Those were the sorriest beef patties I ever tasted in my short-legged

Great food and service. My beef parry was nice hot and flaky and the oxtail is just right.
