Quick service, hearty breakfast, low prices, with lots of interesting history posted on walls regarding FDR.

I was really hoping to find a 5 star restaurant experience. Unfortunately Franklin's has a lot of potential that it seems to not be living up to.

The location is great and I love that they are open all week from 8a-8p.

The server was very kind and welcoming.

This restaurant is full of amazing memorabilia and history.

Sadly the food while inexpensive did not live up to expectations. It wasn't bad just not high quality.

They were out of burgers by dinner time on a Wed. Several Items were not available.

Suggestions: Carry a higher quality of bacon and feel free to charge more. Also please carry honey as a healthy sweetener alternative.

If i could put 0, i would. We waited for 1h and we never got our food. I actually had to cancel it because wait time was some +45 min extra. Even worse! There was no other customer at the place.

Don't go if you're really hungry, there is no urgency to get the food out so you should expect a wait. The omelet was over cooked, and the ham was over salted. The staff was friendly enough but it doesn't make up for the wait and disappointment of the food after said wait.

AWFUL.
It’s been over hour and a half and still no food. 3 tables have already gotten up and left. I’d leave but at this point we’re invested and there isn’t anything else around. It’s not even busy. The only charm in this restaurant is being able to complain with other tables about how long they’ve been sitting here.

If you feel like wasting your entire morning, this is your spot.

Dietary restrictions: Everything is greasy, be sure you are comfortable with that.

Parking: Mostly gravel and washed out so be super careful regular sedans will bottom out. My station wagon was dragging with all the ruts.

Kid-friendliness: Normal, just be comfortable with the open carry handgun crowd. I like guns myself, but not with my pancakes.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not at all. Which is ironic seeing it’s a restaurant praising FDR.

We went for breakfast Sunday morning and they were packed .With only 1 cook and waitress . While the waitress was waiting on the party of 22 . The cook Mrs Terri came out of the kitchen and took our order and a few other customers before big party ordered got put in Terri was sweet and kind and the omelets were amazing . As we were leaving we spoke to the other few tables and they felt the same way . So I want to give out a big Thank you to Mrs Terri , we will be coming back when you are cooking . So everyone go try Mrs Terri cooking. She told us she mostly works night .

Soooo, firstly, coffee to drink for starters.....annnnnnd the coffee was cold, I didn't understand that. My wife ordered an omelet and asked for american cheese, but got chedder cheese? I didn't understand that either because there is a distinct difference between the two. I ordered the SOS with wheat bread....buuuuut, I received white bread, which me and my toilet both understand that I must not eat white bread, IF you know what I mean. And I thought the SOS toast was supposed to be toasted, but mine wasn't. White bread and wheat bread aren't hard to distinguish between one another.

UPDATE: Order a little bit of the same food as the first visit, and the food was fabulously delicious! Coffee was hot, and the food came out as expected. My beautiful wife ordered French toast, eggs over medium, and skillet potatoes, which were delicious. I ordered the same SOS on wheat bread with sausage crumbles. The picture on the right was from today's visit (7-27-2024).
