I wish I could give Franklin's a better review, because the staff, location, atmosphere, and menu were all very nice.

But as others have noted the service was very slow. My wife and I were the only customers and it still took half an hour to get our eggs. And the grease flavor of the eggs was not good.

1st time visit experience. I didn't call in the order because I wanted it as hot as it could be since I had to travel 15 mins away with it. It's good to know that they charge a 10% TO GO FEE and they also charge 4% for card transactions. I arrived at 1030a and ordered- 1 French toast platter and 3 pancake platters. I would have ordered biscuits and gravy but they didn't have any biscuits. $70 and 2 hrs later...I got my order and they gave me 2-10% off coupons for my long wait. The food did not reflect the price and it was cold, sausage overcooked, eggs overcooked, country ham looked more like bacon trying to look like country ham and hash browns were undercooked. I paid extra for cheese but could not see or taste any. (Can you find the cheese?) On the plus side the pancakes and French toast tasted fine, would have lot been better hot, fresh and some powdered sugar on the French toast. As a Foodie ..I was really disappointed 😞

I feel I am being nice with my stars. The service was awful and awkward feeling. I’m not sure why our waiter is working as a server.
The food was presented well but had no flavor whatsoever.
We went outside to eat because the stools inside were wobbly and not short people friendly.
I say save your money and go someplace else if you can. We were disappointed to say the least.

Overall the place was decent. The aesthetics were decent but buttter should not be put on steamed broccoli. It tasted like theater popcorn. See

Third time trying to eat here. This time we called in our order. Absolutely horrible once again. The first couple times we were like okay they are new. But 3rd times a charm it doesn't get any better. You can play hockey with both the rock hard biscuits or the whatever it is sausage patties. Country fried steak no gravy. Grits plain as they could possibly come. And don't mention the half cooked wings in whatever kind of excuse for sauce that is. Must be why they have a bar, you have to be drunk to eat it.

Dinner was very bad. Two days later we tried breakfast. Terrible! Only the biscuits were good. I was charged $10 for a V-8 juice. TEN DOLLARS! If this is the only place open in the area and you must eat, I'm sorry.

This place has a lot of potential, especially since there isn’t much competition for breakfast in the area. We tried the pancake breakfast and French toast. The French toast was passable, but the pancakes, hash browns, and eggs missed the mark—I couldn’t even finish my plate, and that’s saying a lot. The coffee was downright awful; no amount of sugar could save it.

That said, I did see a young man order biscuits to-go, and they looked decent. If you have to eat here, the biscuits might be your best bet. The staff was friendly, though there was some confusion when they switched servers mid-meal.

This was by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had.
Rude waitresses upon entrance.
Sat down party of 8. Understandably large considering the smaller town. Tried to give them a heads up but they were too busy giggling. Waitress never introduced herself and made little to no pleasantries.
After ordering, we waited 1 hr for COLD, soggy, wrong food and only half the food. In the meantime, waiting staff was loudly chatting and talking about customers, literally 15ft away.
Not only did the waitress dip her hair into the coffee but a table next to us had hair cooked into his pancake.
After the waitresses switched around, about 1.5hrs into the visit, they came to take the orders that were never cooked. They later came out wrong and unable to be brought out all at once.

From front staff to the cooks in the back, Franklin's need to reevaluate their whole concept. Besides the historical reference, there are zero reasons to visit this facility.

I walked in and was the only one in the restaurant and a family walked in shortly after I did we are the only people in here at this point. I got my drink ordered and took a couple minutes for the waitress to get my food order so after placing my order I can see straight into the kitchen and I see plate after plate go out and I finally get my food after about 25 mins just for my toast to be cold and my food luke warm. The eggs were also slimy and really wet so was the hash browns and the bacon was pathetic. Would not recommend this one unless they go through a few changes. Also took forever to get my check.

Took 15 minutes to get our drinks. The waitress took a long time to get our order. Waited an hour for food. Still never received. We did end up leaving. No one said anything about having a wait for food. Would’ve been more understanding if something was said. 6 seater next to us looked just as pissed.

Nice employees but something just isn't working for them here. Our entire breakfast meal took over an hour to get. Half of our table got cold food on plates and half got hot food. By this time we just wanted to leave and just ate the cold food. There were multiple people complaining tonthe manager and getting money taken off thier bill because of the slow service and cold food. The manager just kept saying they have a small kitchen and they can only cook so fast. Multiple people left because open tables wernt cleared off to be used. Food was good tho , would probably taste better warm tho.
