Absolutely not impressed. There was only one other table of guests when we arrived. Our food tool 20 minutes to arrive. I ordered the daily special...meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The waitress didn't tell me until just before our meal wa.seeced that they were out of mashed potatoes. What? At 11:45 in the morning...and you wait until just before serving to let me know? The meatloaf was very dry, the broccoli was charred. When I told the waitress about my disappointment, she apologized and offered me something else, but at that point i wasn't willing to wait around doe some other disappointing meal. I do NOT recommend this restaurant.

We stumbled upon Maddy's while driving through Washington, GA, for the first time. While it might not have the upscale decor of a higher priced pub, the food we got was fantastic! My husband had a burger, and I had the fried chicken sandwich, both of which were great. The potato wedges were possibly some of the best fries we've had in any restaurant. If you're looking for a casual place for lunch, I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back.

Was there for the first time. First ever visit to Washington GA. Antique car show was going on. Waited 1:20 minutes for food. Place was unstaffed. Food was not good. It’s a shame we had such a great day turned terrible by this experience. $62 bill at a 15% discount because of slow service. I could have bought a good bottle of tequila for that price. I will be back to this city but will eat pizza next time.

This has to be the worst experience, I’ve ever had at any restaurant. It was extremely upsetting and I left this establishment bewildered. We went in for lunch. The waitress brings our drinks and 20 minutes later the wings, but it all went down hill after that. An hour and 15 minutes after our wings were served, I realized that the waitress had never come back. I go talk to the only staff member I see, the tall and slender bartender/waiter and I ask him if he’s the manager. He said yes how can I help you. Well can you tell me why our food is so delayed. BTW it was 3 sandwiches. Not a complicated menu. He looks at me and says nothing. I see our waitress and ask her where the food is and she looked a bit stunned and I asked did you forget to place our order? She runs to the back and disappears again. Fifteen minutes later I ask for the check cause we have a 1 hour drive to get home. She says it’s coming out and finally it did. At this point we had lost our appetite, but we tried the food. It was average to say the least and cold. I honestly think that because I complained, they delayed the food even more after that and just let it sit! No one ever asked if we needed refills. No one cleared the table after our appetizer and the manager never came to our table to apologize or make the situation better. Nothing. I notice that 2 tables next to us were served within a reasonable time. I will not let this bad experience keep me from coming back to this lovely town, but this restaurant will never have my service again.

What a beautiful place! This is attached to a really unique historic hotel “The Fitzpatrick” which is owned by the same people (highly recommended as well, friendly staff beautiful clean rooms) I highly recommend the fried green tomatoe blt omg it’s so good!!!!

I have to be honest. The atmosphere was good and the employees were nice, but we didn't have a good experience here. We waited over an hour for our dinner to make it to our table after ordering. We watched 3 different tables of people come in after us, yet they received their food before we did. Maybe something went wrong?? The wings came to the table Luke warm, the cheese in 1 of the grilled cheese sandwiches was not melted all the way. 2 items were missing that they had to go back and make, causing the wait to be even longer. We ordered 2 appetizers, 3 grilled cheese sandwiches with fries/mac n cheese, 12 wings with fries, and 12 shrimp with mac n cheese. Maybe the next time we visit, it will be better, and I will update my review.
The people and atmosphere totally make this place amazing! I take a little bit off for food because it's a canned green beans type of place but it did just fine and provided everything we needed. There was live music when we visited and the kindest people I've ever met. Prices were fair, too!

The front door was humorously low, thought that was funny when I entered the house. Greeted with a welcome, and seen the place was clean and great atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and food was great. Waitress was very nice and food came out hot and delicious. Highly recommend.

Back to Maddy's Public House! Team trivia was as blast to watch and the food is just flat out delicious. Whether you go to hang out and have a glass of beer (or wine or MEAD) or go for dinner of fine McTeir beef, Maddy's is our favorite spot to go!
