Stopped into this die-hard American roadside café to grab some breakfast. Let me start with this place is more patriotic than ANY DEFAC or Chow Hall I've ever visited. I decided to try the Western omelet with a biscuit and a side of grits. Being a northerner I enjoy maple syrup in my grits, nothing needed! These grits were PERFECT!!! The omelet was worth every penny, and that biscuit was stick to your ribs good. Looking forward to trying lunch or dinner next.

Maps brought me to a place that was closed down. Even though it stated it was open until 2. It appears to be out of business.

Per our arrival everyone was friendly. However Food was absolutely disgusting. Everything was burnt… biscuits , pancakes and bacon. We told the server that the pancakes were burnt when it arrived to the table but nothing was done about it. Our biscuits were microwaved and the edges were so hard it was hard for my son to chew it. We were told that the grill would not be running today when we asked for a hot ham and cheese sandwich , just to find out it was…. We will not be back. If I had the choice in it , I wouldn’t of paid a dime!!!

I was very disappointed in the food here. It was very clean and I was looking forward to the fried chicken. Unfortunately they were out of dark meat or didn't serve anything but white meat. Since I viscerally hate meatloaf that left the country fried steak, and I picked mashed potatoes and green beans for sides. The cf steak was ok. The mashed potatoes were blander than the instant mashed potatoes I had as a child. In fact if it wasn't for the occasional potato chunk I would have thought they were instant mp. The green beans were the best thing on my plate but that doesn't say much. After receiving our meal nobody checked on us unless we got their attention or got up and looked for what we wanted ourselves. The nicest we were treated was entering and leaving. Other than that they only paid attention to you if they knew you or you worked there. Hope anyone reading this has a better experience than we did.

We tried the same dish. Mostly due to no dark meak chicken. I wasn't impressed with the sweet potato casserole. It was very sweet and gummy.

Service and food was wonderful and reasonably priced. When checking out I paid in cash and asked for a receipt. The nice young lady at the register was trying to accommodate me. A co-worker told her to write down what we had and itemize it.
Then suddenly an older lady came out from the kitchen and loudly told the nice young lady
You cannot do it that way. No way to do it’. I apologized and said I please need a receipt. She said well you should have said that up front. We can’t give you one now. All you can do is take a picture of this handwritten ticket and I’ll write what you paid on a piece of paper. Very rude. I told her I was sorry again! And told her she didn’t need to be so rude. She said I am not rude. You just should have told us before you were tang up! I felt sorry for the nice lady at the register as well. The older lady made a nice meal end in an unexpected way

Wonderful little family-owned restaurant serving home cooked style country meals. Mrs Padgett took our order and Mr Padgett brought our food to the table. We had a chance to visit with both, they are a lovely and friendly couple.DW ordered meatloaf, cucumber salad, potato salad and biscuit. I ordered the chicken and rice casserole, pinto beans, cabbage and cornbread. Our food arrived quickly, hot and was delicious. We were so taken with everything that we returned again the following day on the way home.
