If you want quality beer, great live entertainment, and a very chilled, laid-back atmosphere then this is the place for you! Any thing goes with this brewery - I can guarantee you will never be dissatisfied. All of the bartenders are very attentive and will always remember your favorite go to! i prefer the slushes + the infamous Gas Station Beer. Brock, the owner, has never met a stranger so be sure to make a point to locate and meet him. He will leave you crying with tears of happiness as he always aims to please and make jokes to keep everyone happy! 🍺 🩵 🎸
Amazing brews!! Loved the hazy citrus lager. Must visit spot in watkinsville / Athens
Nice selection of beer. Great place to hang out.
Love this spot, especially on a beautiful day! Ample outdoor seating, nearby food, solid beer varieties, and the owner, Brock, is incredibly welcoming! Highly recommend!
Great place to watch a game. Pick up something to eat in the food court next door and enjoy some beer. I love to do a flight of several of their new beers to find a new favorite. On a warm day, take the beer to wander Wire Park and people watch.
My wife and I LOVE this place! Great atmosphere, great staff, Delicious beer! The Dark Horse Lager is my favorite!
Great place
Amazing staff. knowledgeable and friendly. the oktoberfest was delicious
Quality brewery! Had three beers while here; a lager, DIPA, and a Hefeweizen..with the DIPA being the standout. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the space itself is very nice. There’s a good amount of parking for the multitude of businesses the lot accommodates. I arrived an hour before a Dawgs game, and had no trouble finding a spot, but it was packed upon my departure. You shouldn’t have trouble finding parking on a normal day, however. The brewery is worth checking out and has a solid taplist. Also, I feel there’s a story behind that urinal sign..as they say ‘you can’t fix stupid’.
Great location. Great brews, easy access to food, big venue with live music and a father and son bartending crew as pictured! Tell them Captain Jack sent ya!

This place is AWESOME!!! Live music, brews, and the best sangria wine I’ve ever tasted! Super laid back and kid friendly. They have an assortment of board games and cards to play. You can also grab food from the Gekko or Mexican restaurant and bring it in. They also have music bingo and trivia! Great for a date night or girls night!
I’m so happy to have a brewery in Oconee! The space is welcoming and has a great, family-friendly atmosphere. I also love that they have flavors to add to sours for a sweet fruity drink fan like me.
Brock and his staff have made this place a staple of Watkinsville! It’s truly “community fueled,” family friendly, with board games and live music- you can even bring your dog! Enjoy the Wire Park atmosphere and grab some Satisfied Pimento cheese to-go! If you aren’t a craft beer fan, no worries- they offer seltzers and wine as well!
UGA game days are always a fun time to join neighbors and cheer together on their multiple TVs or grab a beer and head out to the pavilion to watch on the big screen!
Great craft brewery located in Wire Park.
Wife and I were in the Athens area and drove through Watkinsville and wanted to stop in at South Main. Followed their process of opening but had not been able to get up into the area. We dropped by after having spent the day hiking at Ft. Yargo and then lunch in Athens. Now, take this for what it's worth as I spent probably two minutes just inside the door as they actually card everyone who comes into place and stamps their hand for them to drink alcohol. My wife and I both are in our 60s, though we may not look like we certainly look older than 50. I showed my ID and said my wife didn't have hers and the girl at the door simply looked at me and stamped my hand but not my wife's. I asked if she really needed her ID and was simply stared at. I said "never mind" and just left. I don't know if this is a Watkinsville ordinance, but I do know it is NOT Georgia state law and it's ridiculous. Yeah, it's no big deal to have your ID with you, but it's also no big deal to recognize when people are not just over 21, but three times that age. I get it that there are a lot of students in the area, but common sense should prevail. This would have been our 65th brewery to visit in Georgia, but I can say it's crossed off our list. They don't want my business, that works for me.Edit in light of Owner response: A few observations: stamping someone's hand that had an ID and NOT stamping the hand of someone without one pretty strongly implies that the stamp is required to be served alcohol - patrons can't be expected to be mind readers and also not a patrons job to know that the person working a particular position may not be properly trained; also, and I've read searched through FB posts, no where does it ever indicate everyone would be carded, so again, not a mind reader. Of all the breweries we visited, this is the ONLY one that ever did so to us. Yeah, a couple more observations: having gone to high school and college in Athens, it reminded me of all the things I dislike about what Athens and the surrounding areas have become; and finally, while I get having to bend over for local government to get things done, I'd never say that it "graciously worked with" me. No, they really didn't want you there and made you jump through a ton of hoops hoping you'd give up. You can let them know it's not only costing you business, but the whole town as I will make a point to NEVER stop in Watkinsville for any reason. Not that they'll care, but perhaps others who are like minded with me will see this and stay away as well.Edit: a year later - we were finally back in the area on a Sunday afternoon so decided to give another try. Not super busy so, gee, no one asked for ID from obvious sexagenarians. Did two flights, beer is pretty average overall but I thought a couple of the DIPAs pretty good. The complex is beautiful though, a great space outside to enjoy a beautiful spring day. I've added a star to my rating.
