The chili on the chili dog was burnt. The hot dogs were small. ($4 each!) The onion “rings” were gross — thin, stringy, tangled, no breading, dripping in dark brown grease. Service was fine, tables were clean. Will not return or recommend.

I’ve gone to the Varsity for my whole life, and always loved it. Until my last visit in Bethlehem, and Watkinsville both of the new restaurants featured the same problems. 30-40% smaller hotdogs- cold french fries in a much smaller serving container. At a higher price. Yet another childhood memory that has been distorted !!!!!! At least i can finally answer the question “ What'll You Have “ Nothing !!!!!!!!!!! I'm so bummed.

It's The Varsity. Where chili dogs are king. Sweet potato fried pies.
I guess I'm from the old school, When ordering A chill steak has always been a burger with chili, today.. No chili steak.. but two chili dogs.. .. the order was also short a MKO dog.. Just Saying.. But will be back.. I did ask at window did they understand the order.. He said Yes!!!!

FINALLY got to go to the Varsity in Watkinsville!! Been waiting a long time I was residing in New Jersey for the last 31 years so my trips home were few and far between. Had been missing my Varsity Fix for years since the one closed on Broad St. Was pleasantly surprised by the service and food quality!! I ordered the 2 Chilli-Cheese Dogs and an order of Rangs!! Lol. The taste was Spot On and just how I remembered it. Kudos 👏!!!!
