This is a very no frills location. The food is very good. I have to say this is the second time I ate food from this place and the first time I was not impressed. But this time I can honestly say I was very, very pleasantly surprised.
I ordered the fried fish and grilled shrimp, cooked to perfectionNot dried out and was juicy, it came with two sides, and I got the sweet potato casserole, which was so good, I wish I had more. I could have eaten a whole casserole, and the coleslaw which was okay.
When I go back, I know i'm definitely getting that sweet potato.Casserole is a side dish.They also have other side dishes such as mac and cheese fried okra, french fries.
I would say, my overall impression of this place is you're going to get good food and plenty to eat.

My husband and I decided to stop in Waycross for lunch. I opened Map Quest to search for local restaurants with good ratings and guided him to one. Before we entered the establishment's parking lot, he turned our truck around and drove here... like he was called. I was confused by his uncharacteristic behavior but just shook my head and followed him in. I was immediately impressed with the restaurant's welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness. After washing up, I headed to the order counter where my husband was engaged in conversation with a friendly man named Jerry. Yes, that Jerry. Wanting to learn more about his story, we invited him to join us at our table. I enjoyed a fresh tasting grilled chicken salad plate while my husband feasted on a truly southern meal of yummy fried pork chops, field peas, and okra with a side of sweet potato soufflé.

It was our pleasure meeting you, Jerry. You helped create a lasting impression and positive dining experience for us. We wish you and your family continued success and many blessings!
