Live music was good but 2pm on Sunday and kitchen had no Cajun Turkey that should not happen so disappointing

We have been loyal customers of this winery, visiting multiple times and always enjoying our experience—until this last visit. The staff member assisting us was shockingly rude and unprofessional, completely ruining what should have been an enjoyable outing.

We sampled four different white wines, as we intended to purchase a bottle we genuinely liked. Instead of a welcoming and accommodating approach, we were met with unnecessary hostility. The staff member dismissively told us, “Well, you’re basically getting a flight.” When we clarified that we were simply tasting before making a purchase, she condescendingly doubled down with “You are,” squinting at us as if we were being difficult.

Despite this uncomfortable interaction, we still chose to buy two bottles. However, her attitude continued when we requested to have them sealed so we could leave, as we were rightfully frustrated by the way we were treated. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she snidely remarked, “Well, when you try six samples…” which was both incorrect and irrelevant. At that point, we were done engaging.

As professionals in the service industry, we understand hospitality and guest experience. We know what it means to provide great service and to make customers feel valued. This was the opposite. What’s worse is that I have personally recommended this winery to countless guests in my own work, something I will never do again.

There are plenty of other wineries that provide not only excellent wine but also exceptional service—this is no longer one of them.

An interesting experience and one that is well worth it. The wines were delicious, but nothing really stood out to me. The charcuterie board was pleasant, but could use some variety. We still had a great time and I could be nitpicking, but definitely stop by and try the experience as it has a beautiful view as well despite the weather when we visited.

I’ve been here several times and everything has been great, but today my thin young blonde girl who took my order tipped herself $7 on the payment screen and told me I did it myself. My girlfriend was standing next to me and saw it too. I always tip 20% anyways but that was for sure not cool :/

Thank you for your response. I strongly encourage you to post the video evidence you referenced that allegedly shows my dog lunging at someone, as this claim is completely untrue. My dog is highly trained, was in a perfect heel position during the entire 15 minutes we were there, and never left my side. This accusation is not only false but also damaging to my reputation as a responsible dog owner.

I want to clarify that I never approached your business partner to “override” your decision. My boyfriend briefly wanted to greet his friend, and I would not have stayed after the disrespectful way I was initially spoken to. For the record, I was fully aware of your no-pet policy and even pointed it out to my boyfriend before entering. My intention was never to cause issues, but rather to have a brief visit, which was cut short due to how I was treated.

The property itself is beautiful, and had I been treated with respect, I might have considered returning without the dogs in the future. However, given the way I was spoken to, coupled with the falsehoods in your response to my review, I have no intention of returning or recommending your business. Instead, I will be sharing my experience with others. Respectful customer service is the cornerstone of a successful business, and unfortunately, that was not my experience with yours.

Would you like to adjust or add anything to this?

Beautiful winery, vineyard, and grounds with waterfall, lily pads, grape fields! Wine is delicious! Food is “okay”. Staff is super friendly! Could have a better presentation of sandwich and chips. Perhaps cut the sandwich in half, not quarters. Way too many potato chips! Add a pickle spear?

We've had several great lunches there. We finally made the plunge and went there for dinner. Got there at 10 to 5 and was seated, I'll went to place an order at 5 after 5. I was told sorry, the kitchen was closed. This is well before they close at 6. Great venue. Just not for dinner.

The reason for three stars? We've moved here 10 days ago. We've been eating frozen meals. This was our first night out since moving here. And after a glass of wine, we had to drive home to eat leftovers. Maybe if the staff told us that the kitchen closed at 5, we would have placed an order ASAP. I understand the need for deep cleans. But somebody should have warned us newbies to the area.

Beautiful vineyard! Take a walk thru the vineyard and sit by the calming water feature.. Photo ops everywhere. Lots of covered areas to enjoy the excellent selection of wines. Live music on weekends.

No dogs allowed, like why ? It’s a huge territory and nice and all that , but we had to leave . You need to advertise it more that you don’t allow pets anymore .

Really nice vineyard, pretty grounds, lively atmosphere. There was a live band, and an area outside to site and sip overlooking lovely grounds. Everyone was friendly and pleasant, and we really like the wine and bought a few bottles

We just hosted an event yesterday, which went very well.
The vineyard is absolutely beautiful and therapeutic to spend time at.
It's definitely one of the nicest and busiest vineyards we've ever been to!
If you have not made the trip to big door vineyards, we highly recommend that you come and enjoy a birthday celebration or a gender reveal or a wedding or just calm for the day. It is definitely one of the most beautiful places to sit around and have some wonderful wine that doesn't give you a hangover, a wonderful day with friends & and family.

My friends and I have been coming here for years and have always had the best service and experience! Try to come on the weekdays to avoid the weekend crowd if you can, it’s so peaceful!

What an awesome place! The live music was wonderful and relaxing. Beautiful views and they had a picnic area in front of the stage where you could spend hours at, and we did! Food was also really good with an upscale fare. They also had Adam’s Rib BBQ Truck there so we ate and drank very well! This was our first time there but definitely will not be our last. Thank You for a wonderful time!

Came to this beautiful vineyard with a couple of girl friends to enjoy some wine and get away from the city area. We were visiting Georgia from out of state & decided to drive out here. It's a small gorgeous looking vineyard, very clean, the wine flights were perfect to see what seasonal wines are available, the food was also great and also priced very reasonably. In my personal opinion, every wine we tasted was delicious and smooth tasting. We had the pleasure of meeting Jim, the owner of this establishment. He was very welcoming and truly a gem of a man. All staff on site was truly a pleasure to interact with. You can also take some nice photos around the lake. I highly recommend you go visit! You won't regret it!
