They were only doing cash this day due to the card reader being down. The server didn’t once mention that it was cash only. I had to learn from another server greeting her table across the room. I think if it’s cash only, make sure your guest know. Thank god I had $60dollars, for one person, in cash.

Ethan was my server, he's fantastic! The Mexican restaurant is connected to blackbird Cafe, so everyone has choices. We had a little of everything. The chunky fried tomatoes are a must try. The hot wings are the perfect size, not huge but not tiny. I had mild, and I could feel a little heat. My son had grilled tenders and he said they were fantastic. My husband loved his street tacos.Parking: It's in town so parking is limited.

A great surprise in a sleepy town called Woodbury. Food was tasty and ample. I had Spanky shrimp and my husband had a hamburger. Yummy!

Went to eat there with my family, we chose the Mexican food this time. Their tamales were excellent! Their birria tacos, oh so good!!! Oh yes, they have Birria tacos!!!! We also got the Asada tacos and the chicken Quesadilla, which were both great as well. The chicken quesadilla was super packed with chicken. Their prices were fantastic and our server was super friendly and professional! We will have to go back soon to keep trying their delicious menu.

The food was OK but nothing special. The food was better earlier. I think there are new owners and they are concentrating more on their Mexican restaurant add on. The new background music is really annoying. Not something to enjoy a meal with. Service is slow. I'll probably try them again but not any time soon.

This was our first time visiting Blackbird Cafe. I would only give it 1 star, but the reason I rated 2 stars is because we had an excellent and attentive waitress and the fried mushrooms were very good. Two of us ordered chicken dishes, one was a chicken sandwich the other buffalo chicken salad. Acceptable, but nothing to write home about. Another party ordered smothered chicken; it couldn't be cut with a fork because it was it was horribly dry and tough. I suggested sending it back, but he said did not want to do that. So he cut into the other side, thinking that the thicker part might be better tasting or more tender but it wasn't. I asked him to let me sample it so he cut another piece off and I swear it tasted like sawdust. He was not going to say anything but I went ahead and told the waitress that his chicken was in edible. She took it back to the kitchen then came back and stated that they would give us half off the $18 dollar cost of the dish. He told her he was not asking for a discount off the cost but could they please just replace it and we would take it with us. She said that they could not do that because half of it had been eaten. Seriously?? He paid full price for a non edible dish which he should NOT have done but they did not care enough to make this right. We went shopping at some stores after and relayed our experience. We were told they have a relatively new owner. To her I say " good luck" because your customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We won't be back.

One employee said if you want to bring them back I’ll try and find you some sweet tea. ( You will try???)We received no sauces with our order.Cheese in quesadilla was not melted.

Updating this and dropping it to one star. If you liked Blackbird Cafe don’t bother going back. They combined with a Mexican restaurant and the new manager only cares about it. They cook the burgers on the same grill with the Mexican food and they lowered the quality of the beef. So when we went back to give it another chance I tried the chicken tenders. They were anything but tender. The fries are mediocre.It’s a real shame. New management has destroyed a good restaurant. I figure it will all turn into a Mexican restaurant soon. Blackbird was unique- but there’s a Mexican restaurant on every corner.My wife and I were regulars. Not any more.My previous review:Very disappointed. Went there this evening to get my favorite burger and fries. The burger was the same, but the new manager substituted frozen fries for the usual fresh cut fries. Guess the Bkackbird food will go downhill now that the adjacent Mexican restaurant is the priority.Next time I’ll stop at Doodlums BBQ where I can get a fresh burger AND fresh cut fries.

The manager of this restaurant only cares about the new Mexican side of the restaurant. My wife and I used to eat there once a week. She did away with the fresh cut fries, started buying lower quality beef, and started cooking the burgers on the same grill with the Mexican food. The burger is bad - very bad. It used to be the best around. We won't go back.

We ate early dinner there. Inside was very hot as if they had no air-conditioning. The flies were so bad we had to cover our food with napkins and lift to get a bite. If you like flies and heat then this place is for you.

Very slow service. Husband's soup was like warm. My sandwich was huge but great for the first half. Soggy for the second half.
