Hideaway Restaurant at Lake Chatuge

Great beer, non attentive server, severed cold food that wasn't made well at all. Almost empty restaurant and still took an hour and a half to get our food. Ordered a burger and fries. The fries came to my table 20 minutes after my burger. Took a few bites but we left our plates mostly full. Don't know what's going on in that kitchen but it's not good.

Food and atmosphere has definitely changed. Terrible now. I understand that the service industry is struggling but there is no excuse for bad food. Asked for 12 wings they could only do 5 or 10. They were 1.00 wings could you not do the math. Ordered a tanguary martini. Got it with olive juice. Google it you will learn how to make it. Way too much went wrong to mention. Very sad as previous visits were exceptional.

The menu limited. Not really a dinner spot. We ordered 10 chicken wings, and side onion rings. Chicken wings tough, dry, and hard.on outside. One of my husbands undercookoed. He told the server(did not eat it). Server appologized. $16 for wings. 6 onion rings ($4) mostly batter (advertised as hand battered, questionable since they were evenly battered. Not mich onion either. Wouldn't complain about the price if it was good food. We went at about 6pm. Atmosphere was nice, clean. More entertainment place. Pool tables, dart boards, some nights karaoke advertised amd live music. Big bar. However we don't drink, and went for dinner. Thumbs down there.

Could be great but horrible experience aside from our server, Allyson.I don't normally do this but I am a restaurant manager and i felt compelled to say my piece. I came here based on Google reviews. I called ahead and verified the restaurant was family friendly. My fiance, our 13 year old daughter, and I came in for dinner around 8:35 pm. There were only about 20 people in the building. Our service should have been expedited and timely given the low volume of the restaurant at the time. There was a band playing, (the grace rock band) and as a musician and performer myself I can confidently say they were extremely too loud, out of key, and off-time. We were not greeted when we walked in and I had to ask the bar staff where to sit. We sat down at a table at 8:38 and were not greeted until 8:44. My fiance asked for a drink menu which was advertised on the food menu, but still had to ask for it which seemed to be an issue. At the time we had only spoken to a brunette waitress, Chelsea, who was short, unfriendly and obviously not in the mood to deal with another table. Our drinks were delivered around 8:50 by a different waitress, Allyson, blonde with glasses, and not only extremely friendly, but welcoming and fun. At this point our 2nd waitress is the only reason I chose to not walk out and find dinner elsewhere. Our dinner order was taken as our 2nd waitress delivered our drinks, with a smile and kindness. Allyson checked on us 3 more times with hospitality every time. Our food was not delivered until 9:22pm and was lack-luster to say the least.My finances chips were room temperature cold and her chicken wrap was borderline awful, my wings were cold and bland despite being 17 dollars for a 10 piece with no side, and my daughters sandwich was burnt. The cold potato chips (supposedly house made) were the best part of the meal.I asked for extra napkins and was told I have napkins in my basket by Chelsea.Unsatisified is the least I can say overall.All in all, the only reason we stayed is because of Allyson, who continually checked on us and ensured we were taken care of. I never once complained but will pridefully say I will never return or recommend this place. I encourage Allyson to find a better fit for her hard work.

Disappointed with the menu, nothing like was posted on line. Friday night was prime rib, no prime rib. Salmon was on menu, no salmon! Service was very slow and kitchen even slower. Probably will not be somewhere we would go again.Cute little place but but asa restaurant needs improvement!

Appetizers were good tasting. Decided to sit outside. Only drawback... there was dog p*** between the picnic tables... yes, it was stepped in! ?

Comfortable atmosphere, good food, good live music when they have it and the wait staff are all good and nice. Will definitely visit again. Love the location too with the view out of the big side window.

Went last night for a quick bite with my sister. Wasn’t expecting the food to be great but boy was I surprised. Everything was DELICIOUS. Service was excellent. Will be back.

Great food, wonderful drinks, friendly service, live music, and exceptional atmosphere.

We stopped by for lunch and it was OK,, However it was a little over priced for what you got. I upgraded to the onion rings and got 5 (about the size of a silver dollar) for 2.49. This makes them 50 cent each. The burger was over done when asked for m/r. came out well done and dry. I am not sure worth another try?

We went with a big group to eat a late lunch. The atmosphere was great and kid friendly. Our server Allyson was amazing! The sweetest human and was taking care of us along with the bar. She did an awesome job multi-tasking and we did not have to track her down for anything, she was on point with everything. The food was all homemade right down to the cheesesticks. Our kids loved their chicken fingers and cheeseburgers. I had the smoked gouda chicken breast grilled cheese with fries and it was to die for! Hands down some of the best food we have ever had up here. 10 out of 10 is definitely a low rating for how amazing this place and food is! We will return soon.

Wonderful place. Service was amazing, food was delicious, and the place was spotless. Couldn't get better. Came highly recommended by some folks in a local boutique, so glad they told us about it.

Wonderful service. The burgers are fabulous. The atmosphere was upbeat and family oriented. We really had fun using the chalkpaper :). We definitely will make this our new Burger joint

Beautiful, clean bar with good view. Pool, darts, cornhole and live bands! Bar food no joke here, had grilled cheese with homemade chips and it was unreal good! This will be a regular spot for us... looking forward to a black and blue burger next time!

Great service, good food and live music on Saturday night!! Win-win!!
