So friendly!! So much interesting information about producing the best tasting coffee. This is a small 9 acre family farm that has been around since 1830 but in this current ownership for 50 years. The drive UP the side of the west facing side of Hawaii was thrilling to say the least!! A must visit!!
Best coffee ever! I have been on a quest to find the most delicious coffee and hands down your it! My step dad loves Jamaica blue Mountain but it has NOTHING on this coffee. ( it’s way cheaper then JBM too) My favorite was to order from Costa Rica but This coffee Exceeds all those! So smooth and clean tasting. We are now spoiled on your coffee and can never go back lol The Flavors are amazing and SO SMOOTH. This is the smoothest coffee you will ever drink! You have a customer for life! Thank you for providing the best, freshest coffee ever. Btw other coffee can make my Stomach hurt but this one does not. Thank you for working so hard for us to enjoy the most delicious best coffee in the world.
Coffee tasting was very good. Got to learn about local flavors and what makes Kona coffee special. Book ahead for a tour. Up the hill a bit, but good sampling of the local coffee. $40 for a bag of coffee when we went. Drive is fine, but some people may be intimidated by it. G
Had a most informative visit and wonderful tasting at Rooster Coffee Kona today with Ed this afternoon. Turns out Ed grew up a few towns (Old Tappan) away from my home town (Demarest) in New Jersey. Looking forward to enjoying our Dark Roast coffee when we get return to New York City and Long Island North Fork.
All the best to Ed and Tara.

Loved our visit! The coffee was so smooth and tasted incredible. Ed was really knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We are bringing 4 bags of coffee back with us!
We always truly enjoy the personal experience of Rooster Farms. The owners, the coffee and the overall experience is truly amazing. The trip up the hill to the farm is cool too! Will be back next time for sure!
After a lovely drive up the hillside through a collection of other small coffee farms, almost near the top of the road you will find Rooster Farms! Ed, the owner/farmer was super nice! He is very knowledgeable and open about his farm, their processes and how the coffee growing industry works in Kona. I learned so much in our short visit! Ed offered us a fresh pour-over tasting of the coffee from his farm! We got to taste a dark and light roast. Delicious taste and beautiful aromas. I usually don’t like dark roast but it was great. Then we walked amongst the coffee plants for a while by ourselves. No gimmicks or anything like that, very warm and inviting. Jump in your rental car and spend a few minutes at the farm, and buy a few bags of coffee! We will be back
It is an adventure to drive up the road, but the views are spectacular and you will learn so much about coffee bean growing. You definitely taste the difference that hand picking only the very ripe berries make to the coffee. Very smooth coffee. We really enjoyed the tasting and learned so much about coffee.
Amazing experience! The tasting was intimate and personal, and we learned so much about the coffee-growing and roasting process. The coffee itself was the best we had in Kona — highly recommend this local farm!
Love the Kona coffee. The roast level was perfect and matches the Kona taste profiles. We also love supporting small farms in the USA. Keep up the good work.

Loved this place!! The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, the farm is gorgeous (bring your good camera!!), but the star of the show is obviously the COFFEE!! it is so incredibly delicious, I bought the dark roast in person and ended up ordering more when we got back home. Must try!
Rooster Farms Coffee Tasting experience was a wonderful activity for our family. They are amazing people and it was a joy to taste the fruits of their labor. The coffee was so delicious that we couldn’t imagine not buying some beans so we could have it at home too! If you are looking for a quintessential Kona coffee adventure be sure to include a Rooster Farms Coffee Tasting!
This little farm is nestled pretty far back into the hillside, but is well worth the drive out. Ed, the owner, provided us an amazing one-on-one experience, explaining all about his growing process and what makes Kona coffee so special while giving us samples of the beans he grows, harvests, and roasts all himself. The dark roast was so good we had to take a bag home (and will undoubtedly be ordering more online when we run out). Would highly, highly recommend Rooster Farms.
Some of the best coffee I have ever had! The owner does a great presentation on what makes 100% Kona coffee so special.
For our first time being in Kona it’s a great experience! We wanted to enjoy great coffee tasting and ended up at Kona Rooster Farms. Ed is very nice and informative.
