Seasoned well. Pineapple on the rib made it more delicious. Truly would go back here to try the other dishes they have. Owners are the sweetest couple to serve you.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the warmth and kind nose of owners who have been there forever. She came and explained to us the different dishes. Then she went to cook them for us the homemade soup was great as were the daily specials. Would differently eat there again.

Yes. This is a must. It is a very nice older couple. The building has obviously been newly updated (very simplistic and tasteful). But the real star is the food (or the man who is wonderful to chat with). I normally am not a fan of sweet bread but this was just so tasty. My husband and I shared the chicken pesto sandwich and the turkey sandwich. Not really sure which was my favorite bc they were both so good. Definitely put this on your must try list. Also some very cute shops with nice vendors in the town.Parking: Just find a spot. The town was very safe.

We ran across this adorable family run cafe as we were driving through. Service was fantastic and food was amazing. Would highly recommend!

This is a mom and pop restaurant. Marlene cooks superb Portuguese food. Her husband Archie is the waiter. Be patient. They are senior citizens going at their own pace. This is the best restaurant on the big island. We dine regularly. M& m

The excellent food and the hospitality at this Cafe is truly unique. We ordered the Aqua Pasa, Chicken Pesto Sandwich and the Lilikoi-Glazed Ham Sandwich. We also tried the freshly baked macademia nut pie with ice cream, the pie was very delicious and moist. So glad we decided to stop by this family run Cafe. Highly recommend this Cafe.

Mr and Mrs Andrade have been married for over 50 or 60 years.and were nice enough to cook and serve our food personally. They told us about the history of the town, the restaurant, and had visited my town as well. The food was incredible and the conversation was like family. Make sure they are open because they only work select times. It is well worth planning your trip around.

This was such a delightful dining experience. The food was heavenly. I got the spiced pork special, my husband got the beef stew. Neither of us could finish because the portions were so plentiful. Archie was so proud of his wife and the history of the restaurant. Everything was spotless and we felt very welcome and well taken care of. Marlene is an amazing chef! Her grandmother's pork recipe was phenomenal. Highly recommend. If you are looking for a family restaurant with good value, amazing food, quality ingredients, this is it!

We had an amazing lunch! The chicken pesto and the pork sliders were great and huge portions! Then came the Macnut pie! So yummy. And the owners are the best. Almost 100 years in family!

Absolutely delicious home cooking--can't go wrong. The owners are the servers and they couldn't be nicer or more welcoming! Try the mac nut pie if they have it when you are there!
