Go for the Calzone! Jeff the chef has perfected a light, incredibly tasty, unique style that is worth every penny. Pizza's good as well. Forget the salad...expensive and unworthy. Short staffed and hours, but the overworked ones there are really nice.

Everything about this place is great. Parking easy, food awesome, service awesome, patio awesome, inside awesome, prices are great!! Chef Jeff truly takes care in his recipes. We had the Rustic Pizza and Lasagna. The bread and salad come with the meal. Everything was homemade from the meals, to rhe bread to the salad dressing were all delicious. We can't wait till we come back and can stop in again. Kudos to the Chef and his staff!

I found this place to be charming. I ordered the special spaghetti with meatballs and an iced tea. It was delicious. The meatballs were so tasty and the sauce was amazing. It was served with thick cut toasted garlic bread. It had a nice crisp texture on the outside. There was only one waitress and she was on top of everything. No one waited long. Excellent experience.

Extra star for being the only open restaurant in Honokaa on a Tuesday evening. Had an nice long chat with the other customers seated on the patio (because patrons are not allowed to sit inside until 7:30pm). OK food. Nice server.

Cafe El Mondo is a really cute place. The pizza is good and the lemon drop cocktails are superb. Live entertainment was lovely. A great excuse to visit the sleepy town of honokaa.

What a gem! Lived on island 9 years and my first visit here. I was in awe walking into the warm, cozy dining hall, with raw-edge wood tables and gorgeous bar. We ordered the special (best meat lasagna ever), the Mondo calzone (mushroom, artichoke) and specialty pizza. Perfectly executed. Everything was fresh! Dough texture absolutely perfection. We felt transported to the coastal Italy. Service was excellent and delivered with Aloha. We even went back later for great coffee and dessert. Limited lunch menu but our lunch was the high note of our visit to Honoka’a. Bravo!

excellent stop after visiting Waipi'o valley. It feels out of place, like it was plucked straight out of Italy! In a good way. Many restaurants we visited on the island were just in strip malls so this was a nice change of ambiance. Good pizza and kid friendly.

This is a wonderful Italian restaurant with great food and live music. Leslie plays the guitar beautifully and has a fantastic voice. The service was wonderful and the place just exudes charm. We look forward to coming back the next time we are on the Big Island.
