A new place in Honoka'a. A Korean / Mexican food mash-up. Heavy on the vegetarian and vegan choices.The kimchi is homemade, and the vegetables are organic and are locally grown.They have a daily lunch special.Best of all it is outdoor seating and the food is good.The hours of operation have changed, but do look for Harmoni Foods Kimchi at the local stores on the islandWheelchair accessibility: Access is down a slight incline, but it works for wheeled devices.

Beware that our food took 1.5 hours, after they told us it would take 15 to 20 minutes. So if you have other things to do that day and there are any lines, I don’t think it’s worth it. The locals told us it’s slow all the time. Just depends what else you have going on that day…The food and the value was pretty good, but not worth the opportunity cost of waiting around for us. It also seems like people are not even served fairly in order. To get your food, it seems like you have to hassle them a lot or know them.

This is quite possibly one of my favorites on the entire island. Farm to table taste and feel. One bi bim bop is definitely enough for two or get two and have leftovers. This food is like Korean moms cooking. You'll feel right at home. The ginger/turmeric lemonade is perfect. The right amount of each ingredient for a healthy taste sensation. Lastly, the music is so chill. Take a bite and close your eyes while you sway to the beat and chew your delicious bi bim bop. The kids will love the Korean flair of the tacos and grilled cheese. They also have goat cheese that is melt in your mouth. Homemade gochuchong.

This restaurant had delicious fried rice and bibimbap.Fried rice is very delicious.And the lemonade with turmeric is delicious.The store handles everything in one operation.There's always a wait, so it's best to plan on waiting about 30 to 40 minutes.The portion is just enough for a man to eat, so if you're a small eater or a woman, it might be a good idea to share.If you have leftovers from Eat In, you can take them home in a doggy bag.I think it's a good idea to put a tip when you receive it.I have returned to Hawaii Island many times, and the cost performance is the best in terms of price, taste, and quantity.After eating, the tableware is placed in a cooler inside the store.The downside is that the spoons you receive break easily, so we strongly recommend that you bring your own spoons from your room.

Beware that the food here takes 1.5 hours on average, and apparently this is the norm at this restaurant based on rumblings of several locals. The menu is simple, they sell bibimbap bowls and sandwiches but the owner cooks everything in tiny little skillets and has no skill in operating a restaurant. Also most of the ingredients are pickled so not sure why it takes so long. During the 1.5 hours we waited, she delivered about 7 bibimbap bowls total. She yells at her teenage son the whole time too. The food quality is decent but not worth 1.5 hours for a bibimbap bowl.

What a delicious vegan bowl! Great service, high quality ingredients, and such a heart healthy full meal. I loved the fat of avocado, bitter of the kimchi, the full but soft dark rice, such a perfect meal, thank you! As a vegan I was so grateful for my bowl and my non vegan friends loved their dish also! Simple menu, great ingredients and a beautiful place to eat, Chef and owner Suzie has it down!Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled on menu, and an understanding and willingness to meet the needs of others.Dietary restrictions: While ordering my vegan dish, Chef Suzie confirmed with me about the ingredients being used, such as sesame seed oil, to meet my dietary needs while meeting satisfactory flavors.

This was some of the best tasting food, and best value we have had on the island. The ginger turmeric lemonade is a healthy, spicy treat, that we went back for 3 times during our stay. My husband loved the beef tacos, and my fav was the vegan fried rice. All the bowls are served in large, beautiful ceramic bowls- so much food it’s hard to finish in one sitting. I highly recommend this gem!
