We have been a regular here for several years. We had an issue at the very beginning, years ago. Now the manager Marivic, takes amazing care of us. Some how she remembers our most liked foods.The location does have turnover, however they continue to do a great job for fast food.

Founded in 1972 by Alvin C. Copeland,its original name was "Chicken On The Bun". Later changed to "Popeyes Mighty Good Chicken", the name pays homage to the character Jimmy "Popeye" Doyle in the 1971 movie, "The French Connection", not from the comic/cartoon character. A friend with military base access took my spouse here to bring food home to Maui where we have no "Louisiana Kitchen".FOOD:4pc Chicken MealThis wasn't my first Popeyes but I wanted to try them again as it's been more than a minute. Two breasts and two drumsticks. I'd much prefer thighs over the former. Just as I remembered - an extremely crunchy exterior from an overload of breading with a salty flavor profile andp no depth. Fast casual-wise, KFC has a bit more flavor but no one can unseat Maui's Minit Stop chain. The side of red beans and rice was surprisingly good with subtle smoky notes. Coleslaw got tossed and the spouse consumed the biscuit. OVERALL:I'd be ambivalent with a Maui location (for variety's sake) but not elated.

I grabbed lunch for my coworkers and I. The fries were super stale and crunchy and cold seemed like they were sitting out all day , our chicken sandwiches were not fresh at all supper crunchy and not so warm and on top of that biscuit were hard as a rock. Very unacceptable and unsatisfying. Contacted the manager there and all she could do was offer a free meal no refund or anything almost $40 wasted. I will not be returning there .

Had it 2x. It was OK. Second time when I ordered mac N cheese they only gave about 3 tbl spoons, what a joke. Not sure if they know what spicy is or if they just screwed up my order...but the chicken was bland.

I literally asked for sweet heat sauce only to open up my bag at home and find nothing. Never eating at this location ever again.

First of all I eaten at several Popeyes on the island for years and use the mobile app most of the time because of the time saving. The food pretty taste the same at all location. The reason for the 2 stars is because this location do not process your mobile orders unless you let them know. Twice this happened to me. When you place your mobile order, the ticket come out on a separate machine then the one attached to the register. The problem is, they don't check that machine. Today, my order was 83. They took two orders after mine came through, and prepared their food, which I understood, because they were already with the customer. But when they started helping the next set, I went to the counter and about mine. They didn't know about it, but they are working on it now. I didn't get my order until they have serve number 91 and the line was gone. I think I would have gotten my food faster if I went through the line like everyone else.

I just got home and cannot get past the terrible, old food served. I ate there tonight Dec 1, 2022 at 6pm. Ordered a chicken sandwich ( which used to be my favorite even over chick fil a) and a coke. The sandwich was so old and soggy. The mayonnaise had melted and was clear except for some semi opaque dabs hanging outside the bun. The breading was actually tough, rubbery and soggy. I don't know what type of system they have or how long they keep food in the hot rack but this sandwich should've seen the dumpster at least half an hour earlier. Prices increased, size decreased and quality hit the bottom of the barrel. Stomach feeling weird now. I only ate it as I was starving having got off of a long flight. Unbelievable! Maybe DOH should make a visit around the same time on another day.

Very disappointed that I received a small amount of food. Opened to a box with very little fries and my chicken tenders was basically breading.

(Visited Hickam location on 30 Oct 2022) I was in a semi-long line at 1025 to catch breakfast but when I got to counter at 1035 the guy said they couldn't sell breakfast. There were still breakfast items in display such as sausages, eggs, and tater tots. I guess that's policy. However, McDonald's and many other restaurants will sell you their items a little past the time shift. Especially if there are still breakfast items available. Definitely, not flexible here. Despite all this, the food is good here. Just couldn't understand why some flexibility couldn't be exercised. Especially when I got there before the time shift. That legally gives me the right to order the remaining breakfast items, yes???

Of course we all love Popeyes. I don't eat there often, but once a year I get that special craving. I wanted to highlight that this particular location has amazing customer service. They're diligent when taking your order and reverify your order at the window. Thanks for amazing service.

My favorite Popeyes on island, only issue was they forgot the straw and napkins for my to-go order. Will return, the chicken is def the best here.
