Although the food was good, caution about the pricing. What I thought was a standard roll of sushi for 7.99 (see photo) turned out to be $10 more because of the time of day! The menu was not clear that the same roll would be $18+. We were also charged $2.50 for soda water, which has been free at most other places. Some items were a great deal but it’s worth asking beforehand for clarity, especially on the sushi.

While the food at this restaurant was decent, the service—specifically from one male staff member—was absolutely disgraceful. This man, who wears a beard and sports a string of earrings, acted with shocking disregard from the moment we stepped through the door. As the host, his one and only job is to greet and seat customers. Instead, he completely ignored us, gave us no chance to even speak, and made us feel utterly unwelcome.
Throughout the meal, he kept shooting us strange, almost hostile looks, making the entire dining experience tense and uncomfortable. I have never felt so disrespected in a restaurant—let alone in a place like Hawaii, which is supposed to be known for its hospitality and warmth.
It’s baffling and incredibly disappointing that a business in such a location would hire someone with such an off-putting attitude to be the face of their establishment. A single person like this can ruin the image of an entire restaurant. And in our case, he did.

solid place to go to for traditional sports food and a solid selection of beer. The selection of games playing throughout the restaurant was excellent and it was a great place to go and enjoy sports. Service and food didn’t stand out as exceptional was really good and affordable.
