Yummy mexican food. We had the California burrito and the shredded chicken burrito. California burrito had guacamole sauce but good. Chips and salsa at the table was small and charged for refills.

I didn’t like the food. It felt like very thick gravies an and not like a Mexican delicacy I order ed wet burrito bowl and it felt like it was drowning in some bottled sauce. Didn’t like it.
Overall, food was not so good.

Not usually one to write a negative review but wanted to share my experience. Waited about 10 minutes for a table, no biggie. Sat down, she took our drink order and came back super fast. She then took our food order and didn't speak to us for an hour (almost). No drink refills given or checking up on the food. We got her attention after sitting there for an hour and seeing 3 tables that sat down long after us get their food. I don't believe our order was even placed because she and another worker were off to the side looking at us right before she came over to us. She said the kitchen was backed up but they were pumping out DoorDash orders left and right. They had a few signs that said short staffed so we were patient as anyone would be, but an hour and not being checked up on shouldn't happen. Like I said, not usually one to write negative reviews but that was just my experience.

Our first server was excellent but our next server was horrible. Messed up our drink order twice then gave us attitude. Never asked if we wanted more water and when we was asked never got it. With our first server our bill was $190 and we tipped 25% so we don't know why we got attitude with our second server and felt like the rest of the servers gave us a horrible vibe after. Horrible service

My husband and I eat at Amigos when we visit Maui. The service is always great as well as the food. It’s close to the airport so it’s a great spot to dine and drink during a layover.
Just one of my favorite spots for takeout Mexican food. Anything smothered is always good & their dipped tacos are delicious too. Except the birria tacos are only available towards the weekend starting on Friday. Which those are my usual item to order.

After reading negative reviews on this place, I felt compelled to check it out for myself. I dont know. Maybe I'm gluten for punishment. Anyway, we arrived and waited about two minutes to be seated. Once seated, we were promptly served chips and salsa. Ordered our drinks and food, also served promptly. Food was flavorful and delicious. We were there for about an hour enjoying our meal, the whole time every seat was full, lots of food orders going out and a line of people waiting to get in. It's definitely a place to check out for some local Mexican food.
The staff here is extremely dishonest and unprofessional. We left a pair a glasses when eating earlier in the morning & they said they put them in safe & we could return to pick them up in the next morning once the manager was present - when returning to pick them up they tried to pass the blame on to un present staff & had to call each one of their staff members until they brought them back.

Thank you for your response. I would like to clarify a few points regarding my experience.
I was informed during my call that the items were placed in the safe by the manager, and I was assured I could pick them up the following day. I had left my name and the time I planned to arrive. Upon arriving, I noticed some confusion among the staff, which led to my frustration. As someone with a background in the food industry, I found the handling of the situation to be less than ideal, and I felt compelled to document my experience.
A simple explanation stating that the items were not available when I called would have been completely understandable and would have alleviated the confusion.
I do appreciate "Guera" for going out of her way to assist in locating the items, but a phone call could have easily resolved the issue. I hope this feedback can help improve communication within your team.

Food is ok to good. Normal nothing fancy. Way way way over priced. Was insulted by the bill. I didn't pay attention to the cost when I ordered. A plate of rice and beans and a little chili Verde. 25$ ridiculous. Used to eat here all the time. Never again. Maybe it not thoer fault. Maybe rent went up. Certainly inflation. But lunch mostly rice and beans 25$

Made reservation 2 hours in advance and when we get to the restaurant our seating was no longer available. We needed outdoor seating because we have a family member with special needs. We spoke with a supervisor who reopened the outdoor area for us but she was very rude about it and the hostess was extremely rude our entire visit giving us an attitude and dirty looks. She was also standing near the area where the cook hands out the food and when it was our turn they all had smerks on their face so I'm assuming they did something to our food. This was the worst experience I've ever had at this restaurant and I will never go back. If this is how you treat Hawaiians when you're a guest here then maybe you should move your business back to the mainland. No aloha at amigos ?
