I would not recommend for to-go. My wife and I picked up food while we were visiting the island and I was shocked on what we received. First, I guess they make you wait outside. There was staff cleaning tables but never acknowledged any of the people outside. Then, a different server came out and helped the line. The enchiladas were not what you would expect from a restaurant that is supposed to have passion behind their food. The enchiladas were thrown in a container and drowned in sauce with a 6 random chips. And they knew they put so much sauce too, because they double boxed the to-go container. And because it’s the “recyclable” container it starts to breakdown as it’s soaked, so we were eating pieces of cardboard with the enchiladas (money wasted). How about next time put a lining in the box? Plus the chicken of the enchiladas was not hot but the sauce was. It just reminds me when you watch an episode of kitchen nightmares and see the practices in the kitchen may be not what you expect. Unfortunately we were there only for the day. Maybe there is more attention to detail and care when dining in.

While working in Ka'anapali, I heard of a good Mexican place to eat. Just so happened my apprentice owed me dinner so I suggested we try Amigos.Dinner was great. He ordered a shrimp chimichanga for $13 which was the Wednesday night special and packed with shrimp every bite.I had a $18 carne asada burrito wet with red and green sauce also packed, meaty and well worth it.I was disappointed in the Mexican shrimp cocktail which lacked flavor, was very watery. We also both enjoyed a michelada which were good.Unfortunately I can never return, Service was amazing but unfortunately my apprentice is a cheapskate and only tipped $5 on $110 for which I can never show my face there again out of shame as I have a very memorable Hollywood quality to my appearance.Despite this I would definitely recommend Amigos.

Food is good, but they are RUDE. Awful service.They make you wait outside while no one greets you or looks at you. After waiting for 10 minutes just to pick up an order I could see was sitting on a rack through the window, I went in to ask one of the three people who were cleaning one table if I could just grab the takeout order. The manager (who wasn't actually doing any work from what I could see. She was just walking back and forth and looking at everyone else work) didn't let me finish a sentence, shook her head at me, pointed her fingers, and yelled at me "no! You need to go back and wait outside!"I mean, customer service 101 is that you at least acknowledge the people who are waiting. No one came outside to say anything for at least 10 minutes. A little "someone will be right with you" goes a long way. But way to show that you don't care at all about people who order takeout through you. Didn't realize this place doesn't consider takeout orderers as customers.

Tasty Mexican lunch, delivery was smooth and easy.We ordered two plates one with chicken and the other with shrimps, both were full of flavours with sour cream, guacamole and salsa sauce.It’s also a great value for money.
